10:42 a.m.
Julian makes his way down the stairs as slowly as possible. He could have gone for a few more hours of sleep but he wanted to have breakfast with Alexis. He smiles at her as he walks down. She's sitting on the couch reading a paper. She turns it just as he gets close enough to read it, just before he has a chance. "What's that?" he asks, not really caring, just wanting to start a conversation.
"It's nothing." she snaps defensively. "Forget I asked." he sits next to her and puts an arm over her shoulder. She moves away, only slightly. The tiny gesture makes Julian frown and pull his arm away completely. "Is it my fault?" he asks. "Is what your fault?" she counters. "This." he starts. "You were acting strange last night. I figured it was just all that was going on, but you're doing it again, and before. You're withdrawn and aren't acting like yourself. I know you have something you aren't telling me, I figured you'd tell me when you were ready, but you haven't and now it's eating you alive. It hurts me to see you like this, so for your sake, tell me what's wrong." he pleads.
"I can't." she says. "Why?" he begs. "I don't know how to." she cries. She throws herself into his arms. "I'm sorry I cant. I just cant." she tells him. He frowns but doesn't let her see. He wraps his arms around her. "Its okay. You don't have to. You'll tell me I'm your terms, your time." he says. "I promised Lucas I'd be back as soon as possible, now I wanna eat before I go, and I know you haven't eaten anything yet, so I'll go make us something." he adds.
He gets up and limps to the kitchen. His leg had been injured in the car accident but had completely healed before he'd even woken up. The remaining limp was from the gun shot not getting a chance to heal properly. The sweat pants he wore seemed baggier than before. It wasn't impossible that Julian has lost weight while recovering.
Alexis pulls her leg up onto the couch. The front door opens and Kristina comes in. "Hey Mom." she greets. Alexis replies with a halfhearted greet. Kristina sits down next to her on the couch. "What's wrong? Is it Julian?" she asks. "No, Julian isn't exactly the problem." she tells her. "But he's a part?" she asks. "I'm the problem, Julian is just, well he's just him. I cannot express how happy I am that he's back and okay, but there's just so much."
"Where is Julian anyways?" she asks. "In the kitchen, he wanted to make us breakfast. I'm sure if you wanted something he could just make some more." she offers, trying to distract them both. "No, I are before I came. I wanted to come see how Julian was after yesterday, and I wanted to thank him." she says. "Thank him for what?"
"Julian didn't say? Dad told me this morning, Julian's idea saved his life. I didn't think I was gonna see the day Sonny Corinthos would say Julian Jerome saved his life. All my doubts about Julian are gone. He's the right for you, he saved my father. I'm so glad you married him." she tells her. Alexis smiles, she hadn't known about that, and hearing her daughter say she was happy they'd gotten married was like a song to her.
"I'm gonna go say hi and thanks to Julian but then I gotta get moving." she says. "Alright honey. I just can't believe Sonny would actually admit Julian saved him." she says. "Well, what he really said was 'If it wasn't for Julian's plan neither of us would have made it out.' But that's as close as you'll get to him admitting Julian saved him."
Kristina touches her mom's shoulder and goes to the kitchen. "Hey." she gets Julian's attention. "Hey, I didn't know you were back in town." he says. "I came back when I heard about you and my dad. I'm glad you guys are okay." she hugs him, much to his surprise. "Thank you Julian. Thank you so much." she cries. "For what?"
"You know damn well what, you saved my father. Thank you Julian. I had my fair share of doubt about you, and I never thought I'd say this, but you're a hero. Even if you aren't one to the world, you're one to me, and I'm sure my brothers feel the same way. Not that they'd ever say it. Just know, this changes everything." she says. "Thank you Kristina, it means so much that you accept me. I've tried hard to walk the straight and narrow for your mother and my kids."
"And you've done good. I gotta go, but I'll see you tomorrow at dinner. Sam says she wants to have a barbecue at her place. Thanks again."
Alexis walks in just as she leaves. She smiles at him. "How much were you listening to?" he asks. "Oh, just the part where my daughter called you a hero." she beams. "You are a hero. My hero. My knight in shining armor, my superman." she says, moving close. She lets her hands fall to his lower back. "Alexis, what are you doing?" he breaths. "Treating you like a hero." she slips her hands under his shirt and smiles at him.

5:37 p.m.
Julian had gotten a clean bill of health from Lucas and had a late lunch with his son and Brad. They'd run into Dr. Finn and Julian got a chance to talk to him about Arthur. Alexis had work to do with the Carlos case and hadn't talked to Julian much after she'd dropped Julian off at the hospital.
Julian walked into the house. He drops his keys and kicks his shoes off. When he finally looks up he sees Alexis, she's bending over like she's looking at something on the floor. It takes him a second to realize she's doubled over in pain. He rushes to her side, touching her shoulder. "Alexis?" he says anxiously. "I'm calling an ambulance." he tells her. "No," she says quickly, "I don't to go to the hospital. I just need to lay down."
He hesitates to put his phone away but eventually does and helps her stand. She takes a step and stops. "I can't." she tells him. He takes a deep breath and picks her up. Though he can hardly hold himself he makes good progress up the stairs before slowing down. He backs into their room and puts her on the bed, where she lays down. "What's going on Alexis? Come on, finding you like this is where I draw the line." he says.
"I don't know." she says. "Alexis, you're in pain, please tell me what's wrong." he begs. "I don't know what's wrong. I don't know what's happening to me. I just don't know." she admits. He kisses her forehead. "We'll find out. I'll be right there with you." he promises.
"The pain doesn't usually last long. Its going away." she tells him. "Its been going on for a while. It started maybe a week after you got shot." she tells him. "We'll find out what's wrong." he assures her, kneeling down next to her. "We can go to the hospital now if you want, or we can go in the morning. Its up to you." he says. "Lets go in the morning." she smiles weakly. "I'll go make some soup or something." he offers.
He stops just outside their bedroom door and takes a few deep breaths before going downstairs to make her something.
*Something's wrong and she knows more than she's letting on. But she'll tell me* when she's ready.

I know this chapter is short but I wanted to wrap up the 30th. I'll get the next chapter out within a few days. With the weekend coming up I'll be able to write more so I can expand on how everyone else is doing.
But guys let me know what you're thinking so far. How do you like it what are some thoughts and opinions? Any predictions? Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy.
