General Hospital Rewrite Part One

July 22nd 2016 Part 2

2:37 p.m.
     Julian rests his head on his hands. Alexis keeps her head on his shoulder. Lucas had gone and picked up Leo and brought him to them, he'd been taking a nap when they left and they hadn't had time to go get him. Lucas told them when he'd gotten there Leo was still fast asleep. Since he's been watching his little brother. Alexis needed to stay by Julian, who was currently in no state to take care of a baby.
     "What if the damage is permanent?" he asks. "What if she loses her sight or hearing? What if she'll never be able to drive? She wants to be an EMT you know. What if she forgets us?" he starts asking. "Don't do that Julian. It's not helping anyone. Just focus on the positive. She could just have low blood sugar and she'll be fine after some food." Alexis comforts.
     "What if it's not?" he yells, standing. He puts his hand on his side. Leo starts crying. Julian takes a breath and looks back at Alexis. There are tears already in her eyes too. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He sits next to her and wraps his arms over her and Leo. "I'm so so sorry." He sobs. "It's okay. I know it's hard not knowing if your daughter is gonna be okay." she says. "I don't know what to do." he admits. Alexis helps him sit straight and passed Leo over. Leo puts his forehead to his father's.
     He puts his arms around Julian's neck and waits for his dad to hug him back. He puts his hands on his son's back. "I love you Leo." He says softly. Alexis rests" her face on his other shoulder. "Mr. and Mrs. Jerome." Griffin says. "We did a head CT and we found no bleeding or swelling. We got her blood work back and she had extremely low blood sugar like we thought. When she woke up, and by the way she woke up, we gave some orange juice and a cookie. Then she ate three more cookies. She really likes chocolate chip cookies. She's gonna need some time to rest and recover but there's not reason she can go home with you tonight." he tells them.
     "Oh thank god." Julian lets his shoulders relax. "You can go see her. She's just a bit groggy and she's eating a something now but she's awake." he says. "Thank you. Thank you."

     "Hey Jodie. How are you feeling?" he asks softly. "Tired, a little dizzy. Kinda awful." she says. "Serves me right for not taking care of myself." she adds. "You know I'm not gonna say you're wrong. What you did was stupid and unnecessary. If you needed to talk to someone you have me, Alexis, Sam and Lucas, even Kristina I know you two are getting close. Even if you didn't want to talk to family, you've got Dr. Maddox." He stresses.
     "It's new to me. I've been alone for so long okay! I'm not used to having anyone." she says. "I know that Jodie. I know honey. You're not alone anymore. Jodie, you're not alone." He says. "I love you Dad." she says. "I love you too. Now, if you ever do anything that idiotic again, I'll kill you myself." He warns. "Okay Dad." she says. He kisses her forehead. "Sorry to interrupt but I wanna talk to Jodie. I can come back if now isn't a good time."
     Jo smiles. "Hi Dr. Maddox." she says. "It's not a bad time at all. I'm gonna go tell Alexis you're feeling okay." He says, kissing her forehead again. They wait till he's out of earshot. "So Jodie. Want to explain?" he asks. "Not really it's pretty self explanatory." she replies. "Don't joke around Jo." He says. "Come on I just ate like four cookies and I feel fine." she says.
     "Let me see your arms." He demands. She tightens her jaw. "Show me your arms Jodie." He says slowly. "Fine!" she pulls up her selves. "See! Didn't cut. I haven't cut since Jensen died." she says. "I needed to know. If you're harming yourself again I need to know so I can tell your parents." He says. "This is a form of self harm. It could be just as bad as cutting." He says.
     "I know. I know. I know." she starts getting irritable. "Do you think you need to go back on your meds?" he asks. "No!" she says frantically. "I can't go back on them. I can't live underwater anymore." she says. "You have to promise me that you're gonna be safe. You need to take care of yourself." He says. "I won't do anything like this ever again. I'm gonna take care of myself. I'm gonna get stronger and faster and I'm gonna make sure no one ever hurts me or anyone I love ever again." she promises.
