I watched as Austin walked past Kellin. His demeanor thickened. Kellin smiled at him, poison coiling beneath the surface. I grabbed his arm, pulling him away from the hall. He frowned at me.

"Vic what the hell."

"What ever you're wanting to do, don't fucking do it."

He crossed his arms.

"I thought Oli wasn't gay?"

"Does it really matter to you if he is or not? Just leave him alone."

He lifted his chin.

"And why do you care about him?"

I sighed.

"Austin is my best friend and he is happy. Do not fuck with him Kellin. He's had enough."

He laughed.

"Like I'm afraid of Austin."

I looked at him, my eyes steadying over him.

"You are though."

His eyes fled in a silent panic.

"And you're lucky you didn't end up like Alan that night."

He gulped.

"You did a really fucked up thing Kellin."

I sighed shaking my head. He was quiet. I looked at him. He had tears pooling in his eyes, lip quivering.

"I know."

His voice wavered, a tear breaking free.

"I know I did. And I can't live with it."

I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Then do the right thing."

He wiped his face. He drew a shaky breath in, a nervous smile breaking his face.

"It's all over isn't it?"

I looked at him.

"Sometimes when you light fires, the match burns you at the end."

He dropped his gaze to the floor.

"I think I have more to worry about than a match."
