Words were flying across the halls, chattering nonstop through mouth and thumb. There was no stopping to the flood of rumors. It started from a simple question, yet ended up as a larger than life rumor.

No one denied it. No one tried to shut it down. But no one was phased. Except for him.

Alan looked down at his phone to see a text from Kellin.

11:23a.m.

Kellin: "Hey man, did you hear? Carlile and Gale were all over each other. I swear they're back together. You know what that means"

His hand clenched around his phone. There was anger seeping through his skin. There was a time where this jealousy wouldn't have overwhelmed him completely.

"You love me right?"

"Of course I do Alan"
