Chapter 98

I woke up earlier than Gareth, the next morning. He must have been really tired. After doing my morning routine I headed downstairs. Victoria was drinking her coffee staring outside the window.
- Good morning...Victoria.
I said and she finally noticed me. She was absent minded.
- Good morning Jane.
She said smiling at me.
- How was your night ?
I asked while making my coffee.
- You know. I just slept.
She said laughing.
- Sounds good to me.
I responded.
- Why Jane what were you doing ?
She asked me raising an eyebrow.
- I was sleeping too.
I said smirking.
- Sounds good.
She said copying me.

- Why are we here ?
I asked her when she leaded me to the bedroom Debbie lead me when I first came to show me her drawings.
- My mother wanted to give you something.
Victoria explained.
- What is it ?
I asked and Victoria gave me some paintbrushes and an easel.
- Why are you giving me this ?
I asked although the answer was more than clear.
- Mom, wants you to take them.
- Yeah, but why ?
- She said that it would be something to remember her when you leave.
Victoria responded and I remembered that we were going back in two days. It was a shame.
- I want to thank her in personal.
I said looking at them.
- You have time. Let's go the beach now.
Victoria said wanting us to go the beach that was exactly outside their house.
- Sure.
I responded.
- And you can draw there.
Victoria said.
Actually that was a very good idea. I could use the paintbrushes and the easel immediately.

I wore my swimsuit and a white old t-shirt that I used as pajama sometimes and I walked with Victoria all the way to the beach.
- It's quiet here. It's like we have our personal beach.

I said because it was exactly under their house.
- Will you draw me Jane ? Please.
Victoria said.
- I could but let me draw the view first.
I said as Victoria decided to dive.
- Okay see you when you finish.
She said swimming away.

- Do you like it ?
I asked her when I was almost over and I had manage not to paint myself a lot.
- It's perfect Jane. I wish I could draw that way too.
She commented smiling.
- It's really good mrs. Smith.
Gareth's voice came from behind us.

I said smirking.
- Good morning girls.
He said kissing me.

- I'm going to take a drink guys. Can I get you anything ?

Victoria said as Elena and Gail appeared behind her.
I grimaced as I saw Gail but well, what could I do ?
Gareth rolled his eyes to Victoria and I understood that he wasn't very happy with this surprise either.
- They were coming here!
Victoria explained.
- Hi guys.
Elena said hugging both Gareth and me.
Gail smiled and greeted us mostly looking at Gareth. What a not surprise.
- We thought that it was a way to spend some of the day together.
Elena said as she and Gail prepared themselves for the water.

I was still trying to finish my drawing when Gail invited Gareth to go dive with them.
- You should go.
I said as I finished my painting.
- No.
- Your fans are asking for you.
I said sarcastically but deep down I was really happy that he denied every suggestion Gail made.
