Where were you?

~next day~
When I wake up the next day I see that Mia is still sleeping beside me so I walk downstairs into the kitchen where I see my mother.
"Morning."
"Hey Aria. How did you sleep?"
"Pretty good actually besides all the stress with the process."
"Hey everything will turn out right Ar." I smile and sit down on the chair.
"Hey mom can you watch Mia? I would go to grab a coffee and I will be back as soon as I can."
"Sure Aria." I smile, grab my car keys and drive to the brew. It's been too long since I was here without my friends. I know that Ezra comes here often because he works from here but I hope that he is not here today. I walk inside and order myself a coffee and they tell me that my coffee will be on my table in a few minutes. I nod and sit down on a free table and then I take out my phone.
"Aria?" I look up and see that Ezra is standing here with my coffee in his hands. He puts my coffee on the table and sits down next to me.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came back because they want to get Charlet out of prison and we have to do something so she can't come out."
"Oh how were the last five years? You never called even thought that you told me that you will."
"I'm sorry but things came up and I had so much to do with school and everything."
"No probleme. You have time to talk? Maybe you want to grab something to eat?"
"Sure. I'm calling my mom and tell her that I will be back later." Ezra nods and we walk out of the brew and into the nearest coffee shop.
