Vanessa POV.
"Incoming!" Lisa yelled. Four more outfits came flying over the door.
We walked into Forever 21 and got looks. Mostly because Lisa started to run around and pull outfits off of racks.
I pulled on a black blouse with a feather arrow design. It was pretty but not the one.
Damn. It wasn't like I was getting married, it was just a simple date. So far I tried on 6 different outfits. None of them seem to fit Lisa's opinion of "Worthy".
Lisa yanked open the door. I screamed, startled by the abruptness. "No. Off" She look away disgusted and started to laugh. "I'm just kidding Twin it looks........cute." She paused. "What am I kidding? Off."
I laughed. "Okay Vanessa. I really liked this. I picked out shoes and even a headband to go with it. Now. Change." She handed me a blue piece of fabric.
I shoved her out the door. I took off the clothes I was wearing and looked at the fabric. It was a romper. A very pretty romper.
It was blue and black tribal print. I pulled it on. It fit a good length and it even looked good. I looked at the shoes which were navy blue strapped wedges.
I pulled those on as well. I opened the door to see Lisa standing there with a smile. She had a bunch of jewelry in hand.
She tossed me a long gold chain with a feather at the end. Two medium sized gold hoop earrings and gold ring that had a dream catcher on it. She held on to a gold looking headband.
"I like it." Lisa said. I put on the necklace and ring and held the earnings up to my ears. I looked beautiful.
"I love it twin." I said. "Okay now go change back into your regular clothes and toss me that."
I did what she said. I heard her walk away when I gave her the outfit.
When I was done I walked toward the entrance of the store and saw her standing with two bags in hand.
I immediately want to protest. "No. Think of it as a happy birthday present okay?" She started.
"My Birthday is in January." I said. "Next years." We both laugh.
"Now let's go to Sephora." She had a devilish smile on. "Lis. I don't wear makeup." I said. "Oh I know, but luckily your best and only friend knows how to do makeup." She said.
                              Now I got scared.
                              -----
We headed back to the apartment. I don't even know what stuff Lisa got from Sephora. A bunch of stuff I never heard of.
I followed Lisa into her bedroom. I sat in her rolling chair she kept in front of her desk.
"Now go change into the outfit twin." Lisa said. I changed into the outfit she bought me.
I walk out of the bathroom and see all kinds of things set up on Lisa's desk.
"Now the fun part." Lisa said. She pointed to the chair. "I'm gonna put on some music." I said. I connected my phone to her Bluetooth speaker. A cover of Iris from Sleeping with Sirens came on.
"And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now
And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
'Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight"
                              I started to hum along.
Lisa applied moisturizer followed by a bunch of facial products, like concealer and foundation.
She told me to close my eyes and she started to apply eye shadow and eyeliner. I kept wanting to flinch when she did my bottom liner.
She finished off with highlighter and blush. She even put a bunch of things on my lips.
"Can I see?" I whined. "Nope. I wanna do your hair first okay?" I made a noise in agreement.
I saw Lisa begin to heat up a straightener and curler. She ran product through my hair and began to straighten it.
She put something on my head. The headband. She grabbed the curler and begin to curl.
                              -----
"I look amazing. I have never loved the way I look before." I was so close to crying. "No! The makeup will run." Lisa gave me a hug. I have the best bestfriend ever.
My eyeshadow was dark brown mixed in with some gold and my hair was curled at the tips and was held together by a golden feather headband.
"Now let's go wait in the living room." I said. "Yeah you go ahead. I'll be right down." Lisa said.
I walked down the stairs and sat on the couch. I pulled out my phone and took a selfie posting it to my snapchat.
Lisa came down stairs with a little hand bag.
"Here in case of emergency." I didn't get time to ask her what type of emergency because the doorbell rang. I looked at my phone.
4:49pm. Awh, he was early. I put my phone on the couch.
I stood up and went to open the door.
                              -------
Jerome POV
She looked so incredibly beautiful. So beautiful. I was at a loss for words.
                              Silence.
"Hey Vanessa. Jerome's here to pick you up. Apparently, he's can't speak right now." Mitch said breaking laying the silence.
I shook my head. "Let's go than!" I offered her my arm. She looped her arm though mine.
Mitch walked through the door of the girls apartment and went to hug Lisa.
"Bye Lisa! Be back in a bit!" Vanessa yelled behind her.
"Take all the time you need." She replied softly.
"Later buddy! Don't do anything I wouldn't!" I said teasing Mitch.
"Mhm. Later dood. Have fun guys." He replied.
Vanessa shut the door behind her and we headed off to my car. I opened the door for her and she got in. I went to the driver side and got into my seat.
I was wearing some nice black pants and a white button down shirt. It was nice for the bacca.
"Damn. I forgot my phone and bag Lisa made me." Vanessa said. Unbuckling her seatbelt. "I'll be right back. I'm sorry." She apologized.
"It's fine. I'll be waiting here." I said. She left the car and headed back toward the apartment. I went over the plan in my head.
We would go to the arcade and spend about and hour and a half there. Then we would go to IHOP for dinner. Then I would take her to the-
My thoughts were interrupted with the car door opening. She looked a light shade of pink.
"You okay Vanessa?" She looked at me and smiled. "Yeah just. Some canoodling I did NOT wanna see." We started laughing.
Hopefully I can make this the best date she has ever had.
