Chapter 28

Chapter 28
Jerome POV

Vanessa's phone went off as soon as we got off The Batman. "Okay we will be there in a bit." She answered then turned to me and hung up the phone.

"Lisa's hungry so they said to meet them at the little diner near the boardwalk." Vanessa said explaining her call. "Yes finally! I've been hungry!" I say.

"Why didn't you tell me anything? We could've called them." Vanessa says with a little laugh. "I know but I'll let Lisa choose the food schedule. I do not want to anger a hungry pregnant woman." I say.

Vanessa laughed and grabbed my hand, dragging me to the boardwalk.

Vanessa was fascinated with all the stuffed animals and little gift shop trinkets that lined glass windows. I could tell in particular that she liked a multicolored teddy bear because she ran up to it and put her face on the glass.

She was currently looking in a batman souvenir shop. "Hey babe? I'm gonna go get a water from the store across, I'm thirsty." I say.

"Okay my fluffy bacca, don't get lost." She said and stuck her tongue out.

I went into the shop with the teddy bear and picked one out. I even grabbed some of Vanessa's favorite candy, which is green apple sour punch. I went to the cashier and paid for them.

I walked back into the batman shop and see Vanessa wearing a batman cape. A guy was standing by her obviously trying to flirt with her, but she was brushing him off. You could tell she was uncomfortable because she wasn't even looking him in the eye. 

I went over to Vanessa and wrapped my arm around her. "Hey beautiful." I say and give her a long kiss. I glanced up at the guy who was flirting with my girl and see him look back at me clearly annoyed.

I smiled into the kiss and pulled away, but I never let go of Vanessa. "Now, my best friend and his girlfriend are waiting for us." I start. "And I better not even see you look at my girlfriend again okay?" I finish. I grab end Vanessa's hand and pulled her out of the store.

Once we were a few feet away from the store, I stopped her. "I got these for you." I say and hold out the bear and candy. She gave me a hug instead. "You shouldn't have... But thank you. Thank you!" She kept repeating into my shirt.

"Anything for my princess." I say and kiss her head. "Now. Let's go because I am starving!" I say.

Vanessa POV

It ended up being a good day. Once we had eaten, we spent the remainder of our day together, taken photos with characters and going to shows.

We head home at about 6ish, to pack and get our stuff ready for our flight that leaves at 9:00pm. I don't know why the guys picked a late night flight.

When we got home I showered and changed into leggings and a Nexus T-shirt. I went down stairs and saw everyone sitting in the living room. Lisa's mom was telling Lisa and Mitch to call when they got any type of news about the baby.

I sat next to Matthew, who leaned over to me and whispered "Okay. Don't forget about me at the next Minecraft convention. Don't forget I have friends too." I chucked and told him okay.

Our luggage was already in the living room ready to be loaded. When it was time to go, we stood up and gave Matthew and Ms. Garza a hug, although she was dropping us off at the airport.

"Thank you so much for finding them.." I hear Lisa's mom whisper to Jerome who hugged her back. Once we were at the airport, the tiredness started to kick in.

I leaned my head on Jerome's shoulder And started to doze off when I felt someone or a hand on my shoulder. I jumped up to see an apologetic looking Jerome. "Our plane boards in a few minutes." He says.

I nod my head and stood up to stretch. Once we got situated on the plane and sat in our seats; I looked out the window and started to think.

I haven't brought up the topic to Lisa, but I know it has to be talked about. We have gotten so used to being with the guys all day, it's going to be crazy going back to living across the city from each other.

I know it's going to be difficult since our apartment is almost across town from the boys', especially since Lisa is pregnant and I know Mitchell isn't going to want to leave her side.

I look over at my other best friends. Lisa was already asleep on Mitch's shoulder while he had a arm around her, drawing on her back. From this angle, and from the way Lisa was sitting down, you could see her baby bump or it was just slight chubbyness.

"What are you thinking about?" Jerome asked interrupting my thoughts. "Just something I have to ask Lisa." I answered. I rested my head and his shoulder and whispered a goodnight. Before I new it, I was sound asleep.

I woke up from the sudden stop of my body. I raised my arm above my head and stretched.  "We are finally home!" Jerome said. It was still dark outside.

I looked over at Lisa and Mitch who were standing up and grabbing their carry-ons. I had a dream that I was on the phone with Lisa and she was crying. I never had the chance to ask her why.

I stood up and saw Jerome already had my carry on. I grabbed his hand and walked off the plane and got our luggage.

We took a taxi to Lisa and I's apartment. You would hear someone yawn about every 5 minutes.

Once we opened the door, I felt like I haven't seen this place in years. "Okay... I love you all.. But I am super tired and I want to nap. Goodnight." Lisa said in a sleepy voice and walked slowly to her room.

Mitch looked at Jerome and made a sad face. Jerome sighed and then smiled. "Do you think we can stay here and nap with you guys?" He asked with a smile.

I chuckled a little bit. "Of course." "Thank you! Thank you!" Mitch said already walking to Lisa's room.

"Come on let's go to bed." I say. I took Jerome's hand and went in the direction of my bedroom.

Mitch POV

I walked into Lisa's room to see her changing into pjs. I went up to her and gave her a giant bear hug which made her giggle.

"Mitch let me go.. I'm tired." She said in a sad voice.

I picked her up and placed her on the desk. I bent down and started to give her little kisses on her stomach. Right where our baby was.

I stood up and looked at Lisa who was smiling down at me. "Let's go to bed Mitch.." She says. "Okay my love." I say. I pick her up and place her on the bed.

I was about to lay down next to her when my phone rang. I went to the desk and see it was Victoria. A girl that I was talking to when I had just started talking to Lisa.

Why was she calling at 2 in the morning? You could tell Lisa had the same thought. She turned on her side so she wouldn't have to face me.

I set my phone on the desk and crawl into bed with Lisa. I wrapped one arm around her and was trying to pull her towards me.

"... Who was that Mitchell.?" She asks. "No one even worth my time. I promise, you are my only one so get rid of the thought before you even think It." I say.

She turns over to face me, her eyes watery. ".. I'm sorry." She whispered. "Shhh baby girl." I kissed her forehead.

"Let's go to sleep." I say. I lay flat on my back and Lisa curled into my side. Fitting into me perfectly. I wrap one arm around her so I'm holding her and the baby.

"Goodnight Lisa. I love you.. Thank you for making me the happiest guy alive and giving me the future I always wanted. Thank you for being my missing puzzle piece." I said.

I looked over at Lisa who was asleep snoring lightly. "Goodnight beautiful."
