Sophia's POV:
My heart was now pounding. I can't believe Malia was here.
I just sank in my chair trying not to get eye contact with her.
"You trying to avoid her?" Steph asked
"Yeah." I replied
"Why?"
"I just..idk I think it'd best for me to not keep seeing her."
"Why?! Don't you like her?"
"I just can't right now. Becky and I are taking a break so I need to stay away from dating."
"You still love Becky, don't you?"
I didn't know what to say.
"You love her." She says
"Yes I do but it doesn't matter."
"Sophia you gotta tell Becky. She needs to know."
"No she doesn't. We decided to take a break. She's stressed out enough. She needs time to process this. I have to give her that time." I said
"Sophia she loves you. She wouldn't want anyone else but you."
"Steph pls i don't want to talk about this rn."
We stood silent and the assembly kept going.
The assembly went on and it was alright. It could've been better honestly.
"Alright LADIES and gentlemen we will be ending the assembly and sending you guys to your classes. Just wait patiently and we'll send you by sections." The assistant principal had said.
After waiting for about forever we had finally left the gym. Steph and I were walking together to our spot that we usually hangout.
"The assembly could've been better." Steph says.
"Yeah I know. It was kinda lame." I replied
"SOPHIAAA!" I heard someone call out.
I turned around and someone jumps on me. I didn't know who it was. I looked at Steph and she mouthed out "Malia".
Oh shit i thought.
She got off of me and we were looking at each other.
I seriously froze. I didn't know what to do.
"I missed you so much." She says then places a kiss on my lips.
When she pulls back I saw Becky staring at us.
Her reaction wasn't something I wanted to see.
She immediately ran through the gates crying.
'Nooo this can't be happening' I thought
"Is something wrong?" Malia asks
I didn't know what to say. I wanted Becky. I love her.
"Hey Malia. Sorry Sophia is having a rough day. She'll text you." Steph says
"Okay. Hope you feel better." Malia says and just walks away.
After she leaves I let all my air out.
"You better not do this every time you run into her. You gotta tell her the truth." Steph says
"I know but I just don't know how to let it out easy. I'm not good with situations like that. You know that Steph come on."
"I know that but I'm just saying that you gotta learn how. It'll hurt them more if you just ignore them. It's better if they know what's going on then just pretending they don't exist in your life no more."
