Ash's Dark Past *DISCONTINUED*

Serena's Pov

Ash looked worried, scared almost. Serena was concerned about why he was acting like this. It wasn't normal. She scooted closer to him, placing a hand on his lap and said, "Ash, if something's bothering you, you know you can always come to me, right?" Ash looked at her with those ember eyes, and she saw a look she never saw before; it was a longing look, like someone to say that. Serena rubbed his shoulder. He winced as she did so, and it took her a moment to figure out why. But then, she felt it. Warm, dark red liquid was all over her hand, on the grass, and all over Ash's back. "Ash! Your back is bleeding! Here, let me-" "NO!" Serena was surprised. She knew Ash was stubborn about his own health, but he's never been like this. Ash suddenly looked stunned, probably by his own words, and said, "N-no, thanks. Sorry for yelling." "It's ok. Don't apologize. That looks like it hurts." She replied. Ash's eyes suddenly became full of tears. It was obvious he was trying to hold them back really hard. "Yeah. It hurts. Everyday." He said softly, in a shaken voice. He turned to face the pond. "Ash, are you sure you're alright?" She asked concerned. No answer. "Ash?" Still nothing. She got up, and walked in front of Ash, and placed her hand on his right cheek, ready to turn his head to face her's, but she stopped herself. Because she felt something wet rolling down onto her right hand. She felt horrible. He was crying. "Oh, Ash." She said in a soft voice. She pulled him into a hug, and she didn't care that her clothes would get wet, or that someone might've heard. All she cared about was helping the poor, broken boy who was crying into her shoulder feel better. Serena finally got Ash to calm down, and he allowed her to put bandages around his wound as he took off his shirt. It looked like it had been there for a long time, at least four years. "Ash?" "Yeah, Serena?" Serena paused, but then finally asked, "how long have you had this cut?" Ash was silent for a moment, and Serena sorted that she'd pressured him too much, but Ash finally said, "four years from today." He shuddered after he said that. "What happened?"
