Black charged for me, his switchblade in his hand. I braced for impact, but Kyle elbowed him right behind his neck and knocked him out cold. My knees were trembling, and I fell to my knee's and placed my hands out in front of me. Silver has another family? Here in Kalos? Why?! Hasn't he tortured me enough in Kanto?! I closed my eyes as I get up. Onikage and the others had made their way to us. Kyle explained to Onikage who this guy was, and Onikage felt horrible. I could tell by his tone.
"Ash? You okay?" Onikage asked. I didn't respond. I didn't want to respond. I didn't want to because I knew that I'd start crying the second my mouth opened.
"Ash...?" Serena asked cautiously. I turned on my heel and ran out of the alley. I ran and ran, not caring everyone was calling my name after me. I ran into town and past all the people, who gave me looks like, 'what's up with him?' And, 'wonder why he's running.' I could hear people murmuring to each other under their breath, but I didn't care. I didn't care if they saw the tears flying off my cheeks, i didn't care who I bumped into, I didn't care if they knew I had tried to kill myself, I didn't care anymore. I can't take it anymore. I was sick of living in a world where people hated me so much that they were willing to kill me. I was sick of everyone talking behind my back. I was sick of putting my friend's through so much misery because of how badly people hate me. I was sick of being people's puppet! I was done. I don't care that I was going to break my promise to Serena. I wasn't going to put my friends or anyone else in harms way, even if it meant killing myself. I ran into someone, apologized and headed for the closest building. I flew up the stairs to the roof. I didn't notice I was being followed. I shot out the roof door and tripped. I scraped my hands and knees on the concrete, and it was now stained with blood. I don't know what happened, but I just... broke. I started sobbing into my hand and my tears stained the concrete, blending in with the red stain from my knees. My hat flew across the floor as I curled over against my knees, bending the arm that I was using to support my weight in front of me. Some of the blood from my hands got on my face, but like I said, I didn't care. I just cried and cried until I got up and started for the edge. I was about to take another step towards the edge of the roof, but someone grabbed me from behind and locked me in a tight hug and they didn't let go of me. This guy had a really good grip and was really strong. We were a few steps from the edge of the building.
"L-let me go!" I yell, trying to break free. "L-LET G-GO O-O-OF M-ME!!" I felt my voice waver as the tears streamed down my face.
"Ash, calm down! It's me , Kyle!" His voice shook.
"K-Kyle, p-please... l-let g-g-go of m-me... I-I don't... I c-can't..." I felt the hot tears stain my shirt as I started shaking.
"No. Ash, if you jumped and I knew I could've stopped you, I couldn't live with myself... I couldn't..." he squeezed me tighter as I felt something wet hit my shoulder. I realized he had started crying, too. Why? I wasn't Onikage. But then I figured I out; Kyle thought of me like a brother, the same way I thought of him and Onikage. I felt the tears fall down my cheeks, but my face remained expressionless. The rooftop door swung open as I heard like 7 footsteps pound behind us. That's when I realized; I couldn't move. I couldn't move my body and I couldn't change my expression, so basically I was staring at the sky, motionless. I heard a few gasps from behind us as Kyle took his arms off me. The voices around me were mostly blurred, but I could make out things like, "Ash, don't scare us... so worried." That was Alan. Serena was saying something like, "Ash, never try that again... Ash... you okay...?" And Onikage said, "Hey... what's wrong... not moving..." I heard different whispers of people's voices in my head after that.
Death... jump now... you don't deserve to live... and along with that all of the awful things people have said to me came back, too.
"She deserves better than you... weak... thick... pathetic..."
"Weak... idiot..."
"loser... lame... embarrassment... idiot... pathetic freak!" I felt light headed. I could hear my pulse beating in my ears. Everything was going all weird, like those pictures where there are people with different colors around them.
"Ash!" Serena's voice called.
"No... more... p-please..." I whispered. And then, everything went black as I collapsed.
