A/N: hi guys! So two things, one the other chapter isn't going to be out till late today or some point tomorrow, and there isn't going to be Onikage, Kyle, or anyone else in my series besides the xy gang in this chapter, so enjoy my Christmas special and Merry Christmas!
It's Christmas Eve, and Clemont had just brought us into his Uncle's log cabin which he was letting us borrow until after the holidays.
"Man, that snow's even colder here than it was back in Snowbell city!" I said, stomping the snow off my boots.
"Hah, yeah. It's normally not this cold. But Lumiose City has been a little colder than it normally has been since the Kalos league," Clemont said. It made enough sense; the sky did change colors completely.
"Well, let's get the sleeping arrangements settled. We have three rooms, one bed in each." Clemont stated. We all agree that Clemont and Bonnie would share a bed. It would make things less awkward if they shared a bed because they're siblings. Me and Serena got the other two rooms. The rooms were quite cozy; mine and Serena's rooms had twin sized beds and Clemont and Bonnie had a queen sized. I got my stuff unloaded and headed back into the living room to meet the others.
"Oh, hey, Ash." Serena said the second I walked in.
"Hey." I looked around and noticed that there wasn't a tree in the room. "Uh, where's the Christmas tree?" I asked. The room was silent until Bonnie exploded on Clemont.
"CLEMONT! I TOLD YOU WE WERE FORGETTING SOMETHING!!" The two of them fought over who forgot the tree as mine and Serena's sweat dropped. Apparently Bonnie takes Christmas way too seriously.
"Guys, it's not that big of a deal. I can go out and get a tree and be back within an hour." I say reaching for my coat.
"I'll come, too." Serena says. Bonnie and Clemont also wanted to come, so we all got our snow stuff on and headed into the forest. We walked around to try and find a good tree for a half an hour until we came to a clearing and took a short break.
"How is this taking so long? Can't we just get a tree and call it quits?" I asked.
"No! It has to be perfect!" Bonnie glares at me. Note to self: never get Bonnie annoyed.
"R-right..." I stuttered. I could hear Serena snickering to the left of me. I heard something that sounded like wood snapping and a tree started to fall... and the tree was right behind Serena.
"Serena, watch out!" I yelled. She turned and I tackled her to get her out of the way just in time. The tree landed as we hit the snow. I winced. I looked back to see my foot stuck under the tree. I tried to hide it, but it hurt a lot more than I expected for the tree. It looked about six feet tall, but it had to be like 45 pounds. I looked at Serena and realized our faces were very close. Blush forms on both of our faces as I say, "a-are you ok, serena?" I asked.
"Y-yeah, y-you?" She responded with a stutter. She looked so cute with the snow in her hair.
"I'm fine, I think." I say, though I knew that wasn't true. I move off of Serena, but I couldn't really get up, so I tried to sit on the cold snow. Apparently I wasn't doing a good job of hiding the fact that my foot was being crushed.
"Hey, Ash, are you sure you're ok? Your face looks like you're hurt." Clemont asked. I nod.
"Yeah, I-" Serena cut me off with a gasp.
"No he's not. His foot's stuck under the tree!" She stated. I cringed at the fact that she noticed it so soon. Clemont and Serena managed to get the tree off of me, but I still couldn't stand up without falling back into the snow. It definitely wasn't a sprain or anything, but my ankle was red under my jeans. Serena helped me support myself as we all agreed that we should just use this tree instead of searching for another three hours. Clemont had Luxray put it on its back and it carried it as we made our way back to the cabin. Serena wrapped my foot in a bandage, but at that point my ankle was almost healed. I could stand up and limp, but she wasn't too careful.
"Honestly, Ash, you've got to stop getting hurt." She said as she wrapped up the bandages.
"You think I try to get hurt?" I say in a playful tone. She smiles and rolls her eyes. Bonnie, Clemont, and Pikachu all come into the room. Bonnie suddenly squeals and pierces all of our ears, so we cover them.
"Bonnie, what was that about?!" I asked, my ears faintly ringing.
"It's SNOWING!" She yelled, pointing to the window. Sure enough, small, white flames are falling from the night sky. We all just watched the snow fall and talked until I look over at the clock.
"Man, time flies. It's already 10:43. We should probably get some sleep for tomorrow." We all agree and head to our rooms. I got into my pj's and climbed into bed. Once I hit the pillow, I was asleep.
About halfway through the night, I heard a knock at my door. I open one eye and look at it.
"Come in." I say softly. Serena opened the door. She was wearing her usual pj's except she was wearing a Santa hat.
"Hey, Serena. What's up?" I say rubbing my eyes.
"I can't sleep." She says softly.
"Too excited?"
"Yeah. Could I, spend the night w-with you?" She asked. I blush a little and grin. I scoot over and pat next to me. She smiled and gets in next to me. As she does, I hear an ever-so familiar squeal from the other room, followed by a soft scolding for Bonnie by Clemont. Me and Serena laugh as I whisper to her, "Sweet dreams, Serena." She smiles.
"Who knows, maybe they'll be filled with sugar plums." She giggles.
"Or candy canes." We laughed. After a few minutes, I could feel her head rest against my chest. It felt oddly nice to be in that position.
Goodnight, my Christmas Miracle. I think to myself as my eyes slowly close, and soon enough, I was sound asleep.
I woke up to an excited shriek from the doorway. I jumped a little and so did Serena. Bonnie and Clemont were in the doorway, staring at us. I then remembered Serena and I slept together last night, and so did Serena, because we both started blushing a lot.
"KAWAIIII!!! You two are so cute together!" That made me and Serena blush even more.
"Bonnie, can't you give them a break? It's Christmas." Clemont said.
"Oh, fine." Bonnie huffed. We all went to the living room to find presents under the tree for everyone. We all open them and start laughing and talking. I thought I heard someone at the door at some point, so me and Serena went to the front door to check, but no one was there.
"Hmm, weird." I looked up. Serena did the same and her face turned bright red. We were under the mistletoe.
"U-uh, w-we're under the m-mistletoe." She stuttered.
"Oh, yeah. I've heard of this one." I take off my cap and cover Pikachu's face with it as I pecked Serena on the cheek. She let out a little shriek of panic as her face turned as red as a cherry.
"A-Ash..."
"It's tradition, isn't it? Plus, I kinda wanted to do that, anyway." I blush and smirked. She covered her mouth with her hands and gasped. She smiled and I grabbed her hand.
"C'mon. Let's go back or the others will think we were kidnapped or something." I laughed. She nodded and we headed back to the living room, and spent the rest of Christmas with Clemont, Bonnie and our Pokémon. This'll definitely be my favorite Christmas yet.
