"Hello, my Sea Pearl."
I jumped out of bed and looked in front of me, only to find nothing there. I sighed and looked around, turning from my left to my right. When I saw my right side, I almost screamed. A pair of eyes were staring at me through a purple aura, one blood red, the other yellow as the sun. Vampire-like fangs were bared at me, and a mess of spiky raven hair met his tanned skin.
"A-Ash..." I stuttered, only I knew it wasn't him.
"Close, Darling, But no," he laughed. Darkrai.
"Your boyfriend has thought a lot about you since I took control again," he laughed. "It's pathetic, really. All he's thinking about is how he can't lose his friends. Especially not at his own hands." I felt my face burn with a blush, but hit tears also fell.
"What did you DO to him?!" I said loudly. I tried my best to be loud. Usually the opposite would be true, but the walls in the PokéCenter were thin, so you can hear right through them if your loud enough.
"Me? Oh, I didn't do anything. You're lover gave himself to me." I stared at him. There was no was he was telling the truth.
"Ash would never-" I spat, but Darkrai came close fast and pinned me to the wall, pressing a finger against my lip before I could push him away.
"-Oh, but he would, if it's to protect his friends." He said slyly. I stared at him in shock. Ash did it... to protect us?
"GET AWAY FROM HER!" I looked over to see Onikage standing in the doorway and Kyle shoving Darkrai off of me. I hadn't even realized Darkrai's hand was pressed against my neck until I felt myself take a full breath of air. Onikage ran over to me to make sure I was alright.
"Serena, are you okay? Did he hurt you?" He asked. I nodded, then shook my head. I held my hand loosely around my neck to hold where it felt like my throat had been crushed.
"YOU SICK SON OF A BITCH!!" Kyle said, punching Darkrai. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO ASH?!" Darkrai only laughed.
"Ignorant mortals. You shouldn't have given up your power." Said Darkrai, his tone acidic. He disappeared before Kyle could hit him again, then reappeared behind him.
"Behind you!" Onikage yelled. Kyle turned to get punched Square in his jaw. He stumbled into the dresser, but then tackled Darkrai. His hands glowed a bright green as he held Darkrai down by his wrists. Onikage came over and placed a hand over Darkrai's head. His hand glowed a dark blue, almost like his eyes. Darkrai struggles for a few moments before passing out. Kyle and Onikage were breathless as they lifted Darkrai by his shoulders. I watched them do their thing as Kyle placed similar cuffs to the ones he'd originally used for Darkrai on Ash's wrists. I merely stared at the two; how did they know exactly what to do and when to do it? I didn't put too much thought into it as I watched Kyle carry Darkrai to the infirmary. I was pulled from my thoughts when Onikage placed a hand on my shoulder. I jumped, but sighed in relief when it was only him.
"Sorry. You looked nervous, so I wanted to make you feel better-" He said, but I wasn't paying attention. I was focusing on how much he looks like Ash; the same Jet black hair, slightly lighter skin, similar clothes... the only really notable difference was his eyes. Ash's chestnut brown ones are replaced by Onikage's royal blue ones. I look down and blush.
"No, no. It's fine. Just on edge, that's all." I said. He smiles and pats me on the shoulder. Actually, now that I think about it...
"Hey Onikage, I think I have an idea. It's crazy, but it's the only chance we got so far on getting Ash back."
