Why does he always do this? The second I got inside, Ash fell over. Did he really try to get up in his condition?! "Ash! Oh no." I prop Ash up against the wall and felt his forehead. His fever had gone down a little bit, but not enough for him to be completely okay. A few minutes later, Ash started to stir. His eyes slowly opened, and I faced him. "Ash Ketchum! What did I tell you not to do when I left?" "Uhh, g-get up?" He said quietly. His voice was really raspy. He must've gotten a sore throat or strep or something. "And what did you do?" "Get up." Ash held his arm. The same spot Silver had slashed him yesterday. Wait... Oh god! I forgot to check his arm! How could I forget?! I pull up his jacket sleeve and I almost screamed. His entire arm was covered in a gash. There was all dirt and dried blood all around it and Ash looked like he was trying to hide how badly it hurt. "Ash! Why didn't you tell me about this?!" "B-because, you've b-been ta- king care o-of me this w-whole time, I- didn't want o-one more thing fo-for you to worry a-bout." It was obvious Ash could barely speak. I went and wrapped Ash's arm up with the last of our bandages, even though he told me not to, and a little while after, Bonnie and Clemont came back with the medical supplies. Ash took the medicine, and made a sour face. "That sour, huh?" "Yeah." If there's one thing I know, it's that Ash hates sour things. The four of us talked and laughed for a few hours after that, and Clemont started to make dinner. We all sat around a camp fire in the cave and ate the food. Clemont's food is always amazing. Tonight he made spaghetti and meatballs. Delicious! "Clemont, you never cease to amaze me. How do you always make such great food?" "Well, I kinda think of it as a type of chemistry. Mixing the right ingredients equals an outstanding result." Ash had barely touched his food. That's weird. Ash normally vacuums his food down, but it looked the same way it did when he'd first gotten it. "Ash? Aren't you hungry? You've barely eaten all day." "Hmm? Oh, uh, no... I'm not really that hungry..." He looked down at the fire. He's been zoning out a lot lately. Probably because he's been sick. Ash was quiet for the rest of the time me, Bonnie and Clemont were talking. After about 15 minutes, I feel a weight on my right shoulder. Bonnie's face is all kawaii and Clemont snickered a little. Pikachu said, "Cha-ah!" and made a face that looked like 'look on your shoulder.' I looked down and blushed. It was Ash. He'd fallen asleep on my shoulder. I was in shock for a moment. All I was thinking in my head was that this was one of the best moments ever. A small part of me wanted to wake him up, but most of me wanted him to rest. He had a very long day. I also noticed something. Even though he had had a fever a few hours ago, my shoulder wasn't really that hot, just really warm. Had his fever left already? I didn't want to wake him up, but I didn't need to. I could tell he was feeling better mostly. He still needed a little more rest, though. He should be fine by tomorrow. I smiled as I too, slowly drifted off to dreamland.
