"Surprised you still remembered my name. You only called me Captain or Sir." Meliodais laughed.
"'Cause you told me too, Dragon-boy." I teased. Meliodais and I were an inseparable duo when we were both alive, even better than me and Ash. Well, when hens not possessed, that is. So here's a basic summary of our past; when Kyle and I had just turned into demons, Meliodais happened to be strolling by, and asked us if we could help him defeat the some demons from the other side of the underworld, and me and him just kinda clicked. Both Kyle and I were accepted in the Seven Deadly Sins like old pals, and the 9 of us fought for years. Elizabeth, Hawk, Kyle and I helped Meliodais with the Boars Hat bar. It was amazing, none of us ever changing. Then, during a freak storm, we all got sent into different vortexes. Meliodais was trapped in between a time vortex, Kyle got sent to Heaven, and I got swept back to the underworld. I don't know what happened to the other Sins or Elizabeth or Hawk other than they all were sent across the worlds, never heard from again.
"So, how long have you been back?" I asked. His face turned serious.
"That's just it. I got back a week ago, but I wasn't the only one; all of us came back."
"That's great news! Why do you seem so sad about it?" I asked.
"Because, we weren't the only ones who came back." It took me a minute to realize what he meant by that, but then I figured it out.
"Y-You don't mean-"
"Yeah. General Erai and his army's back." I rubbed my legs with my hands.
"Well, *sigh*, that killed the mood."
"Yeah, sorry 'bout that." He laughed. I tried to remember who was in Erai's army. It mostly consisted of other powerful demons like Kumori, the shadow master, Fuzen, the mischief king, Kouu, the storm demon, Onigatana, the Demon Japanese Warrior, (here comes a long one) Osore kowa no waru ma ki shi, but everyone called him Osore, the Devil Knight of Terror , although I highly doubt that's his real name. There was one other. He always had smoke surrounding his armor, and his name was never spoken. Not his true name, at least. People would call him the Yān no ki shi, Yān for short, which translated to the Smoke Knight. His talent was being able to control smoke at will and use it to his advantage, and his yellow eyes always shone with darkness through the armor and smoke. Yellow eyes...
"Uh, Meliodais, did any of his demonic soldiers come back with Erai?" I asked. He looked surprised, but then brushed it off.
"Yeah. Two of them, I think. One was Fuzen, and the other one was-"
"Yān..." I cut him off. He looked surprised, like I'd just read his mind which I didn't necessarily do.
"Yeah. How'd you know?"
"Well, it's... complicated." I told him. It was all so clear now. Yān had been reformed as Darkrai and has been trying to get through Ash. "Meliodais, I need your help. How fast do you think you can get to the Pokémon Center in Destiny Village?" (I know it's not a real village but I needed a name and it was the fist to come to mind)
He looked at me, then laughed of all things. "What's so funny?" I asked.
"Onikage, I'm already in Destiny Village. I'm staying one block away from the Pokémon Center!" We both burst into laughter just like old times. I realized I was starting to wake up, so I told Meliodais to meet me in the front of the building at 8 o'clock. I woke up and looked over at the clock. 7:23. Okay, so I had about half an hour to get dressed, eat, and then meet Meliodais outside. I slowly got out of bed to get dressed, but being me, I naturally trip over the rug on my way to the bathroom to change. Kyle shot up and said, "Onikage, what are you doing?" I looked at him.
"I'm supposed to meet someone outside at 8, so I'm going to get dressed." I reply. He looked at me like I was crazy, but then glanced over to my clock and face palmed.
"Shoot. Forgot to tell you." He held up his clock that read 5:23. "Your clock's two hours fast." Then he started laughing his head off. I rolled my eyes at him. When he finally started to slow down, I asked,
"Ya done yet?" He sighed and said,
"Yep. So, why are you getting up so early?" I thought over telling him about Meliodais coming, and decided it was a good idea to tell him. He and Meliodais were almost as close as me and Meliodais. Almost.
"Okay, but you can't tell anyone till he gets here."
"Till who gets here?" He asked.
"Meliodais. He's here, in town!" Kyle's eyes got wide and he nearly jumped out of bed.
"Yea-mph!" I covered his mouth.
"Do you want to wake the whole Pokémon Center up?!" I asked. He shook his head and I took my hand off his face.
"So when's he getting here?"
"8, so I guess we have the next two and a half hours to do whatever." So after Kyle got dressed, take a guess on what we did for the last two hours before Meliodais came? We played The Last Guardian. For two hours.
"Remind me again why we decided to play this of all things?" I eventually asked.
"I heard some good reviews about it, and MAN were they right! This game is awesome! Trico's the guy to beat!" He was getting way too excited with this. I checked back and saw it was 7:58.
"Kyle! Meliodais is probably down there!" Kyle exits his video game trance and we bolt for the entrance, where surely enough, Meliodais was waiting.
"Took you long enough."
"Sorry. We got distracted and lost track of ti-"
"Meliodais!" Kyle gripped him in a bear hug. I'm surprised he didn't choke Meliodais. His hugs normally do that to me. Then again, this is Meliodais; the guy who could take a round of ground-breaking punches by Diane and not even flinch, so I shouldn't be too surprised. Kyle let go and Meliodais remained the exact same as he did before the hug only now with a smirk across his face.
"So, what did you need my help with, Kage?" I glanced at Kyle and he nodded.
"*sigh* Okay. So our friend Ash has been possessed, and I have a theory about what's possessing him. Well, more like who." Meliodais tilted his head like a confused dog, and so did Kyle.
"I think it might be-" I was cut off by a loud bang followed by smoke about a block away.
"What was that?!" Meliodais asked.
"I might know, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. Let's go!" We raced over to where the smoke was coming from to find what I knew was there; Dark Ash, his hands ablaze with that purple fire, walked out of a crumbled wall.
"Finally! I've been waiting for you, Onika-" he spotted Meliodais and started trembling. "The Seventh Deadly Sin of Wrath, Meliodais. I had a feeling you'd be here."
"Well, your feeling was right." Meliodais said, getting into a fighting stance. "Now, Yān, let out friend go, and we'll go easy on you." I looked at him. He doesn't even know Ash at all.
"Our?" I asked.
"Hey, any friend of yours is a friend of mine, like the saying goes." He shrugged. Dark Ash laughed maniacally.
"You really think the three of you can defeat me?!" Meliodais banged his head with his palm.
"Oh, right. Totally forgot." He whistled and numerous ground-shaking thuds were made from behind us. I turned to Meliodais and was about to ask what was happening, but by the look on his face, I could already tell, and I think Kyle knew, too.
"This isn't a three on one, Yān. This..." the Five of them formed a line behind us. "Is you verses our honorary members Kyle and Onikage, and the Seven Deadly Sins."
