Ash's Dark Past *DISCONTINUED*

Serena's PoV

The next day was cloudy and gloomy, completely unlike the day before. Ash was quieter than he was yesterday, and Serena thought that everybody took notice. "Hey Ash. Why are you so quiet today?" Bonnie asked. Ash looked up. He'd been looking at a journal and had a pencil in his hand. Serena wondered if he was writing a story or something. "Hmm? Oh, sorry. I was distracted." The he went back to his journal. They were all in the forest sitting under a big tree. Ash was leaning against the tree, with Pikachu taking a nap next to him, Bonnie was on his right, Clemont was across from him, and Serena was sitting next to him on his left. She started to peek over the edge of Ash's journal, but he closed it before she got a chance to see what was inside. "Aww, come on, Ash. Please let us see what's so interesting about that journal that you have your nose buried in it." Ash looked up at her confused, but she guessed he figured out what she meant and smiled. "Sorry. No can do." "Aww!" Bonnie said. Clemont got up and stated, "It's getting pretty windy. We should probably set up camp or find a cave." "Right." Ash got up and put his journal in his backpack. I really wanted to see what was inside. Serena thought. Oh well. Maybe next time. They all found a cave nearby to set up camp. They'd walked a good while from town, and had packed a lot of snacks for the road. Serena had noticed that Ash also looked a little paler than normal. He was also sweating. It was probably just the lighting in the cave they'd found, but Serena wasn't sure. A few minutes after they got settled, it started to rain. "Well that was perfect timing." Ash said. Serena stared at him. She could just see the bandages under his shirt from when she'd put them on the other night. She was amazed Nurse Joy hadn't noticed them at all. Granted, Ash's back was covered most of the time, so it did make a little sense. They then light a fire and started to talk about what town they'd go to next. The Kalos league had already passed, and so had the TriPreformers competition, so they were just wandering around Kalos looking for adventure like they did before. Yet somehow, adventure always found them first.
