Naive
-
Being Lev's best friend was really fun, everyday was filled with laughter and fun with him. He would always do stupid things to make you laugh, and you would laugh like there's no tomorrow.
However, it all ended when she stepped into his life, and be the boundaries of you and Lev's friendship.
"Lev! It's lunch break, do you wanna go eat at the rooftop?" You asked cheerfully, and he scratched his cheek awkwardly before declining, "Uh, I'm eating with my girlfriend, (girlfriend's name), sorry (Y/N)."
You only smiled and nodded, before walking away with a fake smile and went up to the rooftop and ate alone.
He'd always promise you that he would eat with you tomorrow, but, that 'tomorrow' never came.
You eventually stopped asking him to eat with you, and stopped visiting him during volleyball practice. Not to mention, your laughter was never heard.
"Get out of my way, (Y/N)," a rough shove attacked you and you stumbled, and nearly fell over.
It was Lev's girlfriend, who has been bullying you for quite a while now.
You muttered an apology and walked away, leaving her with an evil smirk. You felt really frustrated, and that God doesn't help good people. If only you were a bit more hard hearted, things wouldn't become like this, you wouldn't be bullied.
Lev has been distant towards you a short while after being attached, and you couldn't blame him for it, it must've been his girlfriend.
-
That night, you've been thinking about a lot of things. Memories with Lev started roaming in your mind, and when you closed your eyes, you could still see him smiling and his sweet voice.
You couldn't get him out of your mind, so you decided to risk it all.
I'll confess to him, if it works out, I'll thank god for it, if it fails, I guess it's fate.
-
You woke up when your alarm rang, and couldn't help but think of the dream you had. You dreamt that you and Lev ended up together happily, and was cut off by your alarm.
You doubt things would go that way, so you brushed it off and got ready for school.
The journey to school seemed forever, as you were used to walking to school with your goofy grey haired best friend.
Thinking about it, you couldn't help but feel a slap across your cheek. "Stop thinking about him," you whispered, and decided to think about what to say to him.
"How should I confess..." You chanted to yourself, feeling nervous that he'd leave you.
"I'll leave it up to fate," you muttered and quickened your pace when your school is in sight.
As usual, you were unnoticed, and a flock of boys were around Lev's girlfriend, which made you roll your eyes and walk off.
Searching for a certain grey haired beanpole, you roamed along the hallway, hoping to bump into him.
You spotted him in his classroom reading a book, and walked towards him with creased brows.
"Hello, Lev," you greeted casually, and he looked up with emerald eyes.
"Hi (Y/N)! Long time no see," he grinned and you nodded. Of course, you're busy with your new girl, you thought silently.
"I want to speak to you privately, can I?" You asked, and he was about to speak when a kick to your ankle interrupted.
"Lev!!" An annoyingly familiar voice squealed, making Lev flinch and you grimaced.
"I better go," you sighed and Lev stood up, "I thought you were going to say something to me?" He asked.
"Can't you see now is not a good time?" You gritted your teeth and clenched your teeth, not facing him.
"O-okay," he stuttered and watched as you left. "Bye~" his girlfriend faked a polite tone.
She just had to ruin it all, you thought to yourself angrily, the pain in your ankle still not subsiding.
-
You were crying angry and frustrated tears on the rooftop, and your fists were clenched tightly.
"(Y/N)? What're you doing here?" A guy's voice snapped you out of your angry thoughts.
"Kuroo-senpai? Kenma-san?" You muttered in disbelief and wiped your tears away, not wanting to let them see your crying state.
"Oi, are you crying?" Kuroo asked with concern laced in his voice.
"N-no!" You denied, putting on a smile, "Something was in my eye that's all," you explained and he nodded, partially buying your story, but Kenma was eyeing you suspiciously, obviously seeing through your lie.
"I have to go now," you said quickly and walked off, Kenma and Kuroo following you behind.
"Why're you two following me?" You chuckled lightly.
"We're worried, you don't seem okay," Kenma said and you gulped nervously. "Uh okay, thank you, senpais," you smiled and they nodded.
You were nearing your class, and was amused to see Lev and his girlfriend with the dean, standing outside of the classroom.
"There she is!" Lev's girlfriend screeched, making you flinch.
The two volleyball players behind you seemed confused but followed you anyway.
"(Y/N)-san, I've receive a statement that you stole (Lev's girlfriend's name)-san's wallet," the dean frowned, displeased.
"I didn't!" You protested. Lev looked at you with disappointment in his eyes and you felt your heart stinging.
"Please take your bag out, we'll do a spot check," the dean said, making you feel embarrassed and your pride was gone.
Taking your bag out, you spilled everything out, and a foreign, expensive looking wallet was spotted.
"That's my wallet!" She screeched, and put on a sad face, "How could you, I thought we were friends, (Y/N)!"
Your eyes widened and the dean sent you a detention slip, and called your parents to notify them.
Your eyes watered and Lev sighed before walking away, "I'm disappointed in you, (Y/N). You let jealousy take over you."
Kenma and Kuroo glared at the couple and patted your shoulder.
You chuckled bitterly before saying the words loud and clear,
"You're pathetically naive, Lev."
