[Three days ago]
Everyone was in the living room, about to eat dinner to celebrate your father's birthday. The table was filled with various foods and a huge birthday cake sat in the middle on the round dining table.
The lights were switched off, the candles already lit and your family surrounded the table. You were about to clap your hands and sing the joyous birthday song when the ground began to tremble.
Everyone froze in their positions and the ground shook tremendously. Screams filled the air and the whole neighbourhood fell into chaos.
The ceiling crumbled down and everything were broken, the furnitures, the glasses and the family photo frames hung on the wall.
You were hiding inside a wardrobe and ushered your family members to duck in when a large piece of concrete crashed down.
"No!" You shrieked and tears of shock blurred your vision. Under the large piece of concrete laid your parents, and your brother-in-law.
"Nee-san! Where are you?" You cried out, while the loud crashes drowned your desperate voice.
Then, on the ground, was your sister's bloodied body. Her white dress was smeared with blood and dirt, and you cried out in terror.
However, under your sister's body, there was another survivor - your baby niece. Her cries were drowned out by the loud sounds surrounding you and you quickly carried her in your arms and ducked into the wardrobe.
You hid inside while darkness engulfed you. Although conscious, you hoped that you wouldn't be so that this nightmare will be over soon.
You cried with your baby niece, until everything stopped moving as the air filled with silence once again.
Carefully, you opened the door of the furniture and sneaked a peek. It was hideous, everything was in a mess and nothing seemed to be whole, except the wardrobe.
You walked out to the ruined living room with your baby niece, Yuki, in your arms. She had stopped crying and was playing with your middle length hair.
Sirens were heard and you scanned your now broken house. The food was scattered around on the floor,
mixed with dirt and concrete. The once perfect birthday party was ruined by the earthquake, taking away lives of your family."Is there anyone inside?" A voice called and you managed to yell out a 'yes' before passing out before you felt the paramedics catching you.
[Present]
After you were discharged from the hospital, you were given a place to stay for the victims of the terrible incident. There were caretakers in the designated home and after recovering from your injuries, you decided to head back to school.
You left Yuki with a kind caretaker while you were attending school during the day and took care of her yourself during nighttime.
You walked down the corridor of the school, with people looking at you with pity in their eyes. You hated those looks, you didn't need pity at this point of time. Rather than pity, you'd appreciate it more if they showed you some care and asked if you were fine.
The answer is a no though, it's obvious, but you just needed someone to be there for you when you're at your lowest.
You didn't have a bunch friends at school, the only people you talk to are the volleyball boys. Your closest friend in school is Hinata, since both of you were from the same middle school and are currently classmates in your second year in Karasuno.
