Sad thought filled your mind the day you and him broke up.

You thought he was your Prince Charming, but it was all a dream, your wishful thinking. He made you feel like you're special, but in the end, he left you.

The rare smiles, the rare chuckles and the rarest kisses he gave you, was all a lie.

Baka, he will never love you.

That's what everyone said, but for a moment, he proved them wrong. The very first day you met him, you've already set your eyes on him and thought, damn, I want him.

But despite your desperate pursuing, you didn't get what you wanted. All the shooting stars and birthday wishes you've wished upon, was him loving you and be with him forever.

But, he left your heart broken, unattended.

"I loved you, (Y/N)," he whispered to himself, hugging his knees and leaning against the cold walls.

He is not okay, he is not fine, he is not happy. Being with you was the best days of his life, but you were a distraction to him. He couldn't study or practice when you were in his mind.

"Things will get better," he convinced himself, looking up blankly at the ceiling. "I still love you, I'm sure of it," he confirmed.

Two weeks has passed, and today was the finals of the Spring Tournament, and you were one of the first to arrive.

You didn't know why you still came after your heart break, you just felt like seeing him once again. Maybe you still love him, but it wasn't certain.

The cheer team arrived shortly after you, and you were sitting in the middle of the bleachers, giving you a perfect view of the shiny court.

You've recognized a few players from other schools, what surprised you most was the famous heartthrob, Oikawa Tooru, was here too.

"Yo," you called, as he was sitting just behind you. He grinned and greeted you, "Hello, beautiful!!"

You chuckled at his behavior, and he hopped over a row of seats to join you. "Who do you support?" He asked out of the blue, and you were caught off guard at the sudden question.

You scratched your head and shrugged, "I don't know, they both stand a chance, don't they?" You giggled and Oikawa nodded.

Halfway through the third set, a manly voice interrupt your concentration on the match.

"I thought you said you won't be coming."

Oikawa jumped a bit, and a frown flashed across his forehead.

The guy sat beside you, and realized it was Iwaizumi Hajime from Aoba Johsai, the ace.

"Domo," you mumbled, turning your eyes to the court and he mumbled back a 'hi'.

You were currently caught in between Oikawa and Iwaizumi's little bickering, and you couldn't feel more awkward.

"Ita!!" Oikawa screeched as Iwaizumi stretched his hand and smacked him on the head. You giggled at their childish selves, not noticing Ushijima glaring coldly at the three of you.

A few days later at the rooftop, you encountered Ushijima for the first time, and he still made your heart beat faster.

"What do you want," you asked in an icy cold tone, and he sighed deeply.

"Sorry," he apologized, sadness filling his voice again.

"What for?" You asked after a bitter chuckle. He shook his head slightly before grabbing hold of your shoulders.

"I don't want this, (Y/N). I don't want you ignoring me and talking to me with your cold tone. I can't take it, please, don't do this to me. Can we start over again?" He hugged you and whispered the last part in your ear, his breath tickling your neck.

"Don't do what to you, Ushijima? Can't you see your naivety and stupidity caused all of this? You believe your friends' lie that, leaving me will make you happier and your life easier. You chose this, not me. So don't push it all to me like it's all my fault," you gritted your teeth and pushed him away with all your might.

He stumbled a few steps back, looking you with his sad olive eyes. "I understand," he muttered, and smiled, making your heart clench in pain.

"I'll wait, no matter how long it takes, I'll wait for you to come back to my arms." With that, he walked away, leaving you flabbergasted.
