you were the owl's friend, more like a close friend. you secretly hated him, you were an introvert and you despise loud people and annoying people like him. he would do stupid things in the middle of the class that made everyone get distracted from the lesson and laugh at his silliness.

it was at moments like this that made you wonder how is he a third year and an ace in volleyball. though you loved the sport, you did not like him at all. you'd much prefer people like akaashi. he is so calm and composed, unlike the annoying owl, so loud and silly.

but despite all these, you recently came to realize that he was actually kind and cute. and whenever you are close to him, you actually saw that he had a pretty face. he was good looking and muscular. and he is dense.

you mentally punched yourself in the face at why would you fall for someone like him. although you didn't tell him you like him, you actually tried to show it, but it only left him confused.

"bokuto," you called. he turned and grinned as soon as he saw you walking towards him.

"hi (last name)-chan!" he greeted quite loudly and you tried not to glare at him.

"are you free this afternoon? can we go eat lunch together?" you forced a polite tone and he pouted.

"sorry (last name)-chan, but i already had plans with this girl from class 1-2 that-"

"fine, go with her then. bye," you interrupted and stalked off, leaving him flustered.

meanwhile when you were gone, he went to akaashi and ranted to him.

"akaashi!" he cried out while running towards him, his arms flailing all around again. the pretty setter blinked at him and the multi colored hair male groaned.

"can i ask you something? you see, (last name)-chan is angry at me! and i don't know what did i do wrong, what can i do to make her not be angry at me?" he was on the verge of tears as he spoke and akaashi could see the frustration in his golden orbs.

"what did you do again, bokuto-san?"

"i don't know! like, she asked me with a smile whether i'm free later on and i said no because i was meeting this first year girl who is my cousin. then before i could finish my sentence she gave me an angry face and interrupted me with a 'bye' before walking away. i'm really confused, why is she angry at me over something link that?"

akaashi had to rub his temples at how fast bokuto was speaking. after processing everything in his head, akaashi came up with a conclusion that sums everything up.

"bokuto-san, she's obviously jealous. can't you tell? i guess the best way out is to show up at her house with some chocolates and pizzas. then apologize to her and explain that the first year is your cousin."

  "why'd she be jealous?"

akaashi looked at him with a 'i'm so done' face and sighed, "she likes you, that's why."

bokuto's mouth formed a little 'o' shape before nodding his head and running off, cancelling plans with his cousin and heading to the nearest candy store.

the male spent almost half an hour in the shop choosing the best types of chocolates and in the end, he decided to buy all type of them and bring them over to your house.

-

the sun was already setting and he was on your door, his hands lingering around the doorbell. he could not find the courage to ring your door.

he didn't ring the bell, but the door swung open, revealing you in your hoodie and sweatpants in this cold weather. you stared at him in surprise and gasped, "did you ring the bell? sorry i didn't hear anything," you apologized.

he shook his head frantically and stammered, "n-no, it's okay, i didn't ring the bell in the first face." he accidentally blurted out the last part, and he realized his mistake and he was so embarrassed. he just wanted to bury himself 6 feet deep under.

as you raised your brow at him, it only pressurized him even more and he tried not to tremble when he handed the boxes of chocolates to you. "i heard that when girls are angry, chocolates will cool them down," bokuto chuckled nervously and he was finding ways to calm himself down.

when you blinked at the chocolates, bokuto broke down and cried. "akaashi!"

you could see his tears of frustration spilling out as he pouted, his shoulders slumped and his brows creased.

"akaashi told me this would work out, but i guessed it didn't. sorry (first name)-chan," he apologized and turned around to leave, but you grabbed him wrist and smiled.

"stay a little longer," you suggested and opened the door wide enough for him to enter. his golden orbs lit up significantly and he grinned. he marched into your apartment and his eyes shone at the sight of your neat and clean living room. the light reflected off the white marble table and the television was really huge as it sat on the marble table.

he took a seat on one of your beanbag seats and grinned childishly. you let a small smile caress your face when staring at him. you turned on the television and switched to Netflix. you let him pick the movies while you prepare the popcorn and drinks. apparently he chose men in black, which is one of your favorite movies.

-

the sun descended and as the credits rolled, you could hear bokuto snoring softly beside you, often letting out little hoots which you thought was cute.

the night stayed like that, you tidying up the leftover snacks and when you were done, you got some fluffy blankets and arranged the beanbag seats together so it was like a bed. you pulled the blanket over you and bokuto and soon, your eyes closed with a smile on your face.
