Mine

-

You were the manager of Nekoma boys' volleyball team, also, you were the captain, Kuroo Tetsurou's girlfriend.

Lately, you've gotten into arguments with him about how he's neglecting you and spending more time with his juniors, female juniors by the way.

Today was another typical day which he'll leave you for his juniors, and you had to sit all alone in the canteen staring at the table until you got so bored that you decided to head back to class.

-

Humming a sad song to yourself, you dragged your legs towards the gym for volleyball practice.

When you slid open the door, you saw an unfamiliar figure sitting on your usual seat on the bench.

The boys came over and greeted you warmly and you quietly greeted them back before standing by the court and taking down notes about their performance.

"Nice one!"

"Cover!"

You shouted as you watched the intense match between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years playing on the court.

Gripping your clipboard occasionally, your hands were sore and shook when you were writing notes.

"Guys, take a break," you clapped your hands and brought their water bottles to them.

Just before you could walk away to your seat, Yamamoto and Kenma ushered you over to them.

"Yes? Need any help?" You asked with a worried look, and they shook their heads no.

"Who's that girl? I have a bad feeling about her," Kenma mumbled while frowning, and Yaku nodded.

"Could it be..." Yaku trailed off, and you looked at him with curious eyes.

"Maybe it's just my imagination," Yaku waved it off with a small chuckle. You nodded and smiled, before Kuroo asked everyone to get back to training.

Although you trust Kuroo, but you could tell that he wasn't being himself, he wasn't the same guy that wooed you 2 months ago.

You brushed off the thought, and convinced yourself that it wasn't the case. You thought about Yaku's words, and couldn't help but think about what he was thinking back then.

"(Y/N)-senpai! Ball!" Lev shouted and you blinked back to reality, you were about to get bashed by it when Yaku saved it right before your eyes, your face.

"Be careful," he patted your head and ran back towards the court, fortunately Kuroo wasn't paying attention to it.

A small blush coated your cheeks, and you quickly looked down at your notes, scribbling some strategies afterwards.

That training went by like eternity, and you sighed contentedly when the clock struck 7pm.

"Guys, gather round!" Kuroo shouted from the bench, and everyone put down what they were doing and gathered around him and the girl.

"I have someone to introduce to you all, this is (random girl's name), she'll be your new manager from now on," Kuroo said, and his eyes fixed on the new girl.

Everyone was stunned and remained silent, except Kenma. He was the first to speak up.

"I won't accept that," he said monotonously, earning everyone's attention and gaze.

"That's not your place to decide," Kuroo retorted in a quite rude way, making everyone flinch in surprise.

Kenma looked down, knowing that Kuroo has a point and stared at you apologetically, which you smiled weakly in return.

"I get it, I'll leave, all the best guys," you smiled and held a thumbs up. The rest stared at you sadly, and Yaku was clenching his fist tightly.

Sliding the door close, you didn't give them a last glance or whatsoever and walked home with tears streaming down your eyes.

You don't need words to break up with someone, actions will do.

-

The next few days went by dreadfully slow, so slow that it was killing you internally. Seeing the volleyball boys didn't make you feel better either.

Sitting in the library, you read some nonfiction books and a figure took a seat across you, which made you snap your head up.

"Oh it's you, why hello," you greeted and closed the book. Yaku had a random book on his hand and you noticed it.

"I don't think you're here to read about science fiction right?" You smiled lightly at him, which he rubbed his head in embarrassment.

"I came here to tell you something," he admitted and put down the book he was holding.

You nodded your head for him to continue, which he swallowed a lump in his throat and spoke.

"I-I like you, (Y/N)-san. I couldn't concentrate or sleep well after you left the club, it just don't feel the same without you, I'm sure everyone else think and feel so too. We really missed you, especially, uh, me," he whispered the last word, and you giggled.

"Did I say something embarrassing?" He panicked and covered his face, which you inched closer to him and put down his hands.

"Of course not, I'm giggling because I don't know what's your point. Are you confessing or asking me to go back to the team?" You let go of his hand and stared into his light almond eyes.

"Erm, both?" He answered it, but it sounded more like a question.

You chuckled softly, and he blushed, and you blushed along too. Slowly, the silence became more and more awkward and he decided to break it.

"W-will you, uh, go out with me? Like as in friends or anything, you choose," he stuttered and you found it cute.

"Sure, a date," you smiled and his eyes lit up in happiness.

"Thank you, (Y/N)!"

-

A week has passed after you went out on a date with Yaku, not to mention it went really well and you had a lot of laughs with him.

As time passed, he fell for you even more and now you're dating him and completely moved on over Kuroo.

You were currently sitting on the bench in the gym, watching the team play and analyzing them.

Almost everyone surrounded you when they had breaks and Yaku was always the first to reach you.

"Nice saves today," you smiled and stroke his hair, which he blushed furiously. The sky was soon dark and he offered to walk you home, since it was dangerous.

"Bye everyone! Take care!" Yaku and you waved goodbye to everyone, which they returned the gesture.

"Wait (Y/N), c-can I, speak to you," the bed haired male panted while running towards you.

Shooting a glance at your boyfriend, he gave you an encouraging nod and you mumbled an 'okay', signaling for Kuroo to continue.

"I'm really sorry about what I did to you in the past, I hope you can give me a chance and we'll start all over again," Kuroo gushed, a bit of tears welling up in his eyes.

Sighing, you nodded, which made him give you his usual flirtatious grin. At the corner of your eyes, you could see a disappointed Yaku.

Your heart ached, but you know that you hadn't finished your expressions.

"We'll start again, as friends. I have a wonderful boyfriend now, who knows how to treat girls right, and I love him more than anyone," you smiled at your almond haired boyfriend, making his lips curl into a wide smile.

Kuroo looked at the ground, his eyes filled with sadness and you spun on your heel and walked away with Yaku, hand in hand, ignoring the bed haired male depressed in his own world.

"I love you, Morisuke," you smiled while gripping his hand a little tighter.

"I love you too babe," he kissed your temple and continued the journey home.
