Rainy day

-

While waiting outside the gym for your childhood best friend, Tobio, the gloomy sky unleashed its cruel weather and the heavy rain poured down, and you rushed into the gym when left with no choice, and all eyes were on you.

"A girl! A cute one!" A senior with a shaved head gushed, his eyes turning into hearts and it caught another senior's attention.

"Wow, what brings you here, cutie?" A guy with black hair and a little blonde streak in the middle asked, and you glared at them.

"Oh, is it raining?" They both asked at the same time, and you growled.

"Oh no it isn't! The stray cats just decided to pee on me!" You huffed in sarcasm, and all of the volleyball players tensed, fear written on their faces.

"Oh, Tobio!" You grinned after spotting the black haired male staring at you from the court, and he shyly waved back.

"She's damn fierce," the two second years whispered, and you gave them a cold glare.

"But so damn cute when she's angry too!" They said in awe before their coach yelled.

"Stop drooling over her or else she'll get damn adorable!"

-

The rain continued to shoot down on the ground like arrows from the grey sky, and almost everyone had left as they had an umbrella. Only you and Kageyama were left after the seniors cleaned the gym up and there was a piece of silence.

"So, should we go?" You asked with a grin, and Kageyama looked at you as if you were crazy or anything.

"What? In this weather, are you out of your wrecked mind?" He growled, and shook his head firmly.

"Let's go," you cheered with a wolf whistle before pulling him out of the sheltered gym and into the harsh weather.

"I'm gonna kill you when we get home," he groaned and walked home with you, the rain soaking the both of you from head to toe.

The journey back home contained of you splashing Kageyama with water puddles by jumping onto them and laughter filling around you.

Halfway through the journey, you sneezed and felt a shiver running up and down your spine. This wasn't good, you were feeling cold already.

More sneezes came to you and your teeth chattered against each other and your body shivered in the rain.

"You alright?" Kageyama asked, a worried face plastered and his navy blue eyes stared into yours, and you could see how worry he was.

"Y-yeah," you shivered and your lips were turning pale.

"Let's get home as soon as possible," he stated before lifting you up and piggybacking you while sprinting home as fast as he could.

Burying your face in his muscular chest, you could hear his breathing and heartbeat, and it soothed you and soon, you fell asleep in his arms, your body relaxed and warm.

-

By the time you woke up, you were already dried and covered in thick blankets. You inhaled the familiar smell of cinnamons and cologne, your pain from your pounding head fading.

You stared up at the ceiling, dazing off at thinking of today's earlier events, not regretting a single part of it except you're going to be sick.

"Are you still feeling cold?" The setter's voice rang in your ears, and you sat up, your eyes mindlessly trailing on his half naked body, and began to stare into space.

His chest was actually pretty well built, and the muscles were toned, and shaped perfectly. But your thoughts were cut off by a snap of fingers.

"Are you even listening?" He sighed and plumped down onto the bed, bouncing a few times before it stopped.

"N-no. What did you say?" You smiled apologetically before lying down on your back with him, staring at the painted ceiling again.

"I said you're having a mere fever, and also, your clothes are in the laundry. And yes, I changed your clothes for you, now, I'm pretty sleepy, can we get some sleep?" He repeated himself, and your heart skipped a beat when he said he changed your clothes for you.

"Idiot! Can't you wake me up and ask me to change myself!?" You smacked his head, and he clutched his head painfully before protesting.

"You were sleeping like a lifeless pig! How could I wake you up when you're like that!?"

No words could come out from your mouth, and you gave up before hiding your red, embarrassed face in his chest, and he whispered.

"How I wished there were more rainy days like this."

"So that you could have fun with me in the rain?" You smiled, and he shook his head.

"So that I can change your clothes for you," he joked and earned a bonk on the head from you.

"Ita! I was just joking!" He groaned and you smiled, mumbling a 'goodnight' to him and hugging him tightly like a soft pillow.

"Night."
