his eyes were hooded by the shadow casted from his orange hair. needless to say, the short spiker was mad, like,
really mad.
well, at least he wasn't mad at you.
he was mad at his teacher for making him stay back after school because he dozed off in class.
and that's not what triggered him the more. it was because today is your third monthsary and he was planning to take you out to a date.
he was half devastated, half enraged at the teacher he hated the most. during lunch when he told you that he was going to bring you out, you were really happy that you were jumping around.
it has been a while since you two went for a date, since both of you were busy with school work and club activities.
that day after school, the usual energetic lad wore a serious expression as he walked up to you. it was soon replaced with a sad smile as he gazed at your innocent and cute face, and broke the news to you.
"(y/n)-chan, i'm sorry. i have to stay back in school today because i accidentally dozed off in class." your smile faltered but you were understanding enough to accept his reason.
"i understand, shōyō. i'll be fine. besides, we could have more dates in the future, right?" you beamed, but the oblivious boy didn't notice it was a forced one.
he smiled apologetically and pecked you on the cheek, blushing madly afterwards as he ran off, leaving you flabbergasted.
-
it had been a long day and hinata dragged his heavy footsteps out of school. apparently he had to copy down 'i will not doze off in class again' a hundred times before leaving.
he sighed in exhaustion and decided to drop by your house before cycling back home.
as he neared the park near your apartment, he heard voices and giggles coming from there.
curious, he peeked at who was at the park at this late timing and he was shocked. as if he was electrocuted, he froze and couldn't take in another breath.
"(y/n)-chan... and nishinoya-senpai?"
he was actually seeing red when he paddled his quickest home. but as he did, his tears flowed through the air along with the autumn night breeze.
he had never felt this betrayed before. his senpai that he respected the most, was actually flirting with his girlfriend of three months?
definitely something outrageous.
he didn't want to believe what he was assuming, but that was the only thing he could make up.
'what, are they gonna say they were studying at the park?' he thought to himself furiously and parked his bicycle outside his house before entering it.
hinata couldn't sleep that night. after having his dinner, he lay in bed and stared at the ceiling, hoping to find peace.
he closed his eyes and found his comfortable position, but in the end, his eyes would fly open by itself.
images of his girlfriend and senpai together came swinging back at him again. it hit him hard. the anger and disappointment in him rose and the whole night, he didn't even manage to sleep.
the next day, you saw hinata walking to school gloomily and pouted in confusion. you decided to talk to him about hanging out with your cousin, nishinoya, last night.
"hey, shōyō~" you chirped and strode towards him with a warm smile. he lifted his head and was greeted by you running to him. at that point he didn't know exactly how to react, he just stood there with a blank face.
"w-what's wrong?" you asked uneasily, your smile fading.
"had fun last night?" he muttered and he brushed past you, his brows creased in annoyance.
you blinked, not understanding what he is trying to imply. "yeah, i was with yuu last night and-"
"and what?" he snapped. "did you hold hands and do what couples usually do at the park?" he snarled.
just then, nishinoya came at the right timing as he yelled out hinata's name, swinging an arm over his shoulder.
"shōyō," you whispered, earning his attention. "yuu, he's my cousin."
nishinoya nodded rigorously and hinata's face turned red from embarrassment. "i-is that so," he looked away awkwardly.
he looked at you, face plastered with apologetic. nishinoya sensed the tense situation and sneaked away, escaping successfully.
"i'm sorry for getting mad at you for no reason, (y/n)-chan," he muttered as he pulled you into an embrace, and your anger was forgotten when you wrap your arms around him.
"happy three months, baby," you cooed just as the bell rings.
-
this is really cheesy.
