Guardian angel

He always wanted someone like you, so quiet, cold and sarcastic. Your personality could freeze someone's heart easily, the way you walk and speak makes you look like a queen.
You've always wanted someone like him, so tall, reliable, smart and sassy. His eyes told so less, so mysterious, so complicated. You wanted to discover more, staring into his golden eyes made you drown into his world and see everything no one else could.
As usual, you were walking along the hallway and heading towards your classroom. All eyes fell upon you in admiration and curiosity, why someone like you doesn't have any friends.
That was because you were cold and couldn't spare any attention to the rest, your only concern was the blonde male - Tsukishima Kei.
Mid year exams ended last month, with you and him on par. You remembered him scoffing at you and his face showed a tint of annoyance.
"Watch it," a familiar voice called, a second later you knocked into the tall blonde male you were thinking about.
Staring up at his confident golden eyes, you narrowed your eyes and fired, "If you know I'm going to bump into you, why don't you move?"
He scoffed and raised his head, his eyes still glued on mine. "I'm no admirer of yours to move, anyway, this is your fault," he said with a small smirk, irritating you.
"I don't have to bow down to your level and argue with you," you mumbled and shoved past the arrogant blonde, huffing before taking a seat.
The next few days, fate seem to pull the two of you together, closer. A string of incidents seem to happen to the both of you coincidentally.
While walking towards the school, the rain poured down heavily, the morning weather didn't really help as it was freezing cold.
Time ticked by and the rain still continued to pour down. An annoyingly familiar figure caught your eye and you realized it was Tsukishima.
Biting down on your lip, you hesitated whether to ask him to share his umbrella with you.
"Please don't look here..." You whispered to yourself, hoping he won't see you.
"Achoo!" You sneezed and covered your nose and mouth. This was bad, it caught his attention.
His eyes darted to yours, and you looked around awkwardly, knowing that the annoyingly confident blonde would make fun of you.
"Oh? The queen has no umbrella, I see. Would you want to share? Or pass?" He teased, but kindly asked.
"Share, thank you," you softly thanked him and he walked over to you, sharing the umbrella with you and walked towards Karasuno.
Eyes focused on the pair as you walked together with him, some boys envy and all.
"Tsukishima has a girlfriend!?" Hinata asked in shock, his face paled and Tsukishima shot him a dirty glare.
"No, shrimp. Shut up and don't bother us," he said and walked away, keeping his wet umbrella and headed off somewhere.
"Are you his girlfriend?" Kageyama asked, and you simply shook your head no, and brushed past the black haired guy.
Little do you know, a coat of faint blush rose to your cheeks.

Being only 170cm was kind of short for you, as the shelves on the library was all so high and you couldn't reach the book you wanted.
Jumping didn't help a bit, and you were about to give up when a tall figure reached the book for you.
It was him, again.
You were about to thank the annoying blonde when he walked away with the book, a smug grin on his face.
"Damn it, that bastard," you cursed under your breath, and he heard you clearly.
"Did you say something?" He asked with a brow raised and you huffed while shaking your head no.
You took a nearby stool and reached up for another book while standing on it, trying your best to reach it.
"A little more," a muttered to yourself and stood on tiptoes and felt the stool move.
The unstable stool shook roughly and you couldn't balance yourself, and prepared to feel the impact of the cold floor.
You didn't feel the floor, instead, you felt a warm body pressing against your back, and your spine tingled, sending shivers through your body.
"Y-you alright?" The same voice spoke, and you two stayed like that for a while until you pulled away from him.
Feeling your cheeks burning up, you turned away swiftly and put back the stool, mumbling that you're alright and a thank you.
Just as you were about to walk away, the tall beanpole stopped you with a tug on your wrist, handing you the book.
"I'll let you have it," he muttered and walked off, leaving you standing in the middle of the library with a flustered expression.

The next day, you were walking to your classroom, the hallway half filled with chatters. You were walking past some of them when two second years dashed past you with full speed, one of them knocking into you.
A hand slipped around your waist and you gasped, looking up, you saw the blonde male, Tsukishima, that you've been thinking about the past few days.
You quickly pushed him away a little and brushed past everyone and headed into the empty classroom, feeling your heart racing against your chest.
"You alright?" He asked with his usual cold tone, but this time it sounded more sincere and warm.
"Why do you keep helping me? Aren't we rivals?" You asked, a little harsher than you made it sound like.
"We are? I don't think that way though," he said and took a seat, acting like nothing happened.
Silence engulfed the room and it stayed awkward, none of you spoke a word until he broke the silence.
"I thought of you as a smart girl, a pretty one though. And I may or may not have fallen for you, just saying," he suddenly said, and you heart skipped a beat.
"You- you like me?" You asked with a red face, couldn't help but believe the arrogantly handsome blonde likes you.
"Any problem with that?" He grunted, and you shook your head no.
He patted the empty seat next to him, ushering you to sit with him. You hesitated for a while, but then shuffled shyly towards him, wondering what he's going to do.
"Just let me protect you, baka," he said and held your hand, and you smiled.
"Like a guardian angel."
