Hell yeah

It was just another cold winter school day, the ground was coated in white and footprints that were marked on the thick snow was soon covered by the constant falling snow again.
Taking a seat by the piano, your petite, small hands lingered over the beautiful black and white elegant keys, feeling the cold, smooth surface of it with your fingertips.
Positioning your hands, you began to play a famous piece of Yiruma's - River Flows In You.
Your hands roamed the keys on instinct from the months you've practiced this piece of tune, the music filling the school hall with much emotions, enough to make ones heart clench.
The sad piece of music filled your ears and echoed, gaining a few pairs of curious gazes being casted towards the talented you.
A pudding head stood behind the walls of the hall, his face brightening up like he just bought a new video game.
His sneaky peeks behind the walls were interrupted by his buddy, Kuroo, startling him a little.
"If you like her you should go talk to her," he nudged the second year with his elbow, and his face flushed before shaking his head 'no', his hair swaying gently.
"I don't want to," Kenma replied, his face holding admiration, but sad.
As your finger pressed down the last note of the piece of music, the small crowd eventually dispersed and Kenma began walking away, before Kuroo holding him back and stopping him.
"Isn't second years' promotion party coming up? Why not ask her to be your partner?" He suggested, and the shy setter shrugged and answered, "She's probably going to reject me either way.
"You'll never know until you try, Kenma."
-
That night, Kenma lay down on his bed, thinking about what his childhood buddy has said, and it kept repeating in his mind.
'Should I try?' He asked himself mentally, his heart racing at the thought of asking her to be his partner.
He didn't dare to ask, he was too afraid to accept rejection, and he didn't want it, he'd probably be hurt in the end anyways.
"But I'd never know until I try, right?" He convinced himself to do it, which he decided to tomorrow after school.
-
Walking through the crowded hallway like an invisible person, you reached your classroom, which was half filled.
Your cute little nose was red from the sneezes and apparently you had forgotten to bring your sweater, which was dreadful.
The cold made your hair stand on ends and you couldn't help but shiver, your teeth chattering softly.
"Good morning (Y/N)-san," a gentle voice greeted, and your eyes fluttered to your table mate, Kenma.
"Good morning Kenma," you smiled softly at him, and crossed your arms and rested your head on them.
Noticing that you're feeling a bit too cold, the anti social pudding head wrapped his sweater around your small frame.
"You don't have to do this Kenma, you're feeling cold too aren't you?" You protested, sitting up straight while facing him.
He shook his head, and gave you a tiny smile, "You need it more than me."
-
The day soon ended, and the second years' promotion party is tomorrow.
"No one would ask me anyway," you sighed disappointedly and walked out of the classroom.
You took out your book to read, while flipping the pages, a slip of paper fell out.
Feeling curious, you picked it up and read the neat handwriting.
"Will you go to the promotion party with me tomorrow? -Kenma :)"
You lips curved into a smile, slipping the note into your pocket and walked back to the school, hoping to find him during his volleyball practice.
-
You clutched onto his sweater tightly, panting away while standing in front of the gym. Bringing your small hand onto the gym doors, you hesitantly slid them open.
The bright lights shone into your eyes, the familiar sound of volleyball balls bouncing rang in your ear.
"Kenma," you breathed out, gaining attention towards you.
A tall guy with crazy bed hair raised a knowing brow at you, before calling Kenma, a smirk tugging on his lips.
The dyed blonde haired boy you're looking for shuffled towards you, a coat of blush on his cheeks from all the teasing he received from his team mates.
"Hi (Y/N)-san, anything I can do for you?" He mumbled shyly and you held his hand, placing the slip of paper on it.
"Don't you want to know the answer?" You asked teasingly, and his face heated up, his eyes widening.
He nodded for you to continue, and you smiled before saying a 'yes'.
You left the gym afterwards, and he froze in his spot, his face red like a strawberry.
He stared at the paper, and realized that you've left your number on it, making his heart thump loudly in his chest.
"Did she say yes?" Kuroo asked, and he kept the paper safely in his pant's pocket before muttering.
"Hell yeah."
