Chapter 10: Survival Training - Failed!

I patted my face and got up.

"Everyone that Kakashi gets is sent back to the academy!  I'm sure father would love to hear that!"

Minako's words replayed in my head. I remembered that if I don't pass this, I might lose all that I've worked on for years. What my purpose in life was made for.. If I don't get a bell, everything will fall apart. I won't get sent back to the academy. No... that cell.. I'm not going back there.

I dashed in the direction of Sakura's scream. I saw her passed out body on the ground, but I continued further as I sensed Kakashi and Sasuke.

I laid flat on my stomach once again as I watched Sasuke do hand signs. My eyes widened and I stared astonished. He surely was amazing.

Fire erupted from his mouth. Kakashi must've been affected. He was even shocked. But once the fire cleared, Kakashi was gone.

Sasuke started to search around quickly. At the same moment Sasuke was pulled into the ground.

"Ninja Fighting Lesson Number 3 Ninjutsu.." Kakashi said and I got up.  The two turned their attention to me.

"Oh Mayumi..  I thought you coward away.." Kakashi smiled at me.

"Taijutsu against Naruto, Genjutsu against Sakura, and Ninjutsu against Sasuke...  I'm pretty sure I'm not suppose to be let off easily."  I stared at him seriously.

Kakashi

"Mayumi, you should've just hid!"  Sasuke yelled at her.  She stared at him seriously.

"I don't think you all get it.  You haven't seen my power without these eyes.  Stop underestimating me."  She stared seriously.

She jumped back.

"Hit me with your best shot.." I sighed and she furrowed her eyebrows and took a deep breath.

She threw three Shuriken at me. One coming from my left, one coming from my right, and another coming directly towards me.

I immediately jumped and landed back on the ground.

"It's over." She smirked and I watched her hand and it was as if she was holding something invisible. I looked down at my right ankle to see it covered in gold.

Wow.. I let her get me. I underestimated her.

I looked at her facial expression. She was gritting her teeth and she was shaking.

It was too soon for her to be handling Ninjutsu.  She's just a Genin after all.

She fell onto her knees and I was able to move freely.

"Now it's my-" I immediately turned my head towards the four posts. Naruto was there about to eat.

What a bunch of failures...

"Oh you guys look really hungry." Kakashi stated as we all sat down in front of him except for Naruto who was tied to a post.

I blushed in frustration. I was too careless. I tried that Justu I saw Minako do. I'm horrible with my clan's own Kekkei Genkai Gold release.. I'm a disgrace. I'm such a disgrace.

Now my father is going to live with a burden...and I have to go back in that cage...that cell.

"By the way, something about training...Well there's no need for you guys to go back to the academy." Kakashi said and I felt a weight lift off my shoulders.
