Minako
I was training with Lee, Neji, and TenTen. The Chunnin exams were right around the corner and I had to become a Chunnin. I had to make my father proud.
"Hey, Hey did you hear?!" I listened to Lee bicker as I threw my weapons at targets hitting the middle each time.
"For the first time in five years, there are going to be rookies in this Chunnin exam." Lee said and at that moment I heard rookie, the kunai which hit the target made a loud impact.
No way Mayumi's in the Chunnin exams. I had to wait and so should she. She just came out of the hospital too.
"No way! It's probably some stubborn Jounins in competition or something.." TenTen assumed and Lee disagreed.
"No, the story is that four of them are the students of that Kakashi." Lee said and the kunai I threw got louder and louder each time they hit the wood.
"That's sounds interesting." Neji finally spoke. Imagine versing Mayumi in the Chunnin exams. I'd kill her.
"It doesn't matter because in the end," I threw the kunai at the wood and with impact the piece of wood broke.
"We'll crush them."
Sasuke
We were waiting for Kakashi in the morning, like usual but this time, when Mayumi came. I felt a strange feeling in my chest when I saw her.
The other day when that guy named Gaara searched her with his eyes. It infuriated me. I don't know why. Maybe because I care for Mayumi?
"Mayumi?" I questioned.
"Yes Sasuke?"
"Why? That guy could've been dangerous. Don't get involved with him."
"Who said I was getting involved, he asked for my name just like he asked for yours." And he stared you down like he wanted you dead.
"Sasuke, I can take care of myself. You know that too." She said and I sighed.
"You just came out of the hospital. What should I expect?"
"You should trust me."
Trust her..? She's acting like I don't already.
"Morning people!" We all looked up to see Kakashi and the same routine replayed where Sakura and Naruto would yell at him for being late and he'd give a lame excuse.
He eventually came down to the ground.
"This is sudden but I've nominated you guys for the Chunnin exam." Kakashi said handing applications.
I could fight stronger guys like him...Gaara.
"Aren't we too young to take it?" Mayumi asked.
"You are never too young. It's been awhile since rookies have taken the Chunnin exam. After that mission with the bridge builder, I've learned and seen sides of you that I'd never expect." Kakashi said and I looked down at my application. Wish he brought something to sign this. I'm taking the exam for sure. "You aren't the only rookies from the leaf."
"I have to go." Mayumi awkwardly laughed.
"What's wrong?" Naruto asked.
