Chapter 74: Eye to Eye

Toshiko

"Yuki, weak point."  I demanded.  This formation...the four of us...it's is bringing back memories.

"Understood."  Yuki cooed and I kneeled down touching her head.  My eyes flickered silver as we stared at Manda. 

I can tell Mayumi and that dragon of hers are shocked.  This has been my secret.  I've hated the black dragon for my selfish reason.  He killed my grandfather Tobirama Senju in battle. 

Yuki has the same ideals as me.  We both wanted to take him down.   If we had to sacrifice a child's life to get it done, we will.  Preferably not.  One life is always better than hundreds.  But right now, we have bigger things on our hands though.

"His head is his weak spot."  Yuki spoke and I stood back up returning my eyes to its normal state. Her voice sounded cunning like a Manda's, but the feminine touch made her sound like and evil beauty. 

I looked at Jiraiya, and Tsunade as they built up their chakra.  I was going to attack first whether Tsunade or Jiraiya liked it. It's my turn.

As I was about to jump, I froze in my tracks feeling six eyes looking at me, burning into my soul.

I turned to see Ren, that's two. Mayumi, that's four....no....that's six. That black dragon..

His gold eyes watching my every move, him growling and getting angry.  I could feel it.  The heat and tension, it's quite exciting.

"Wait, I sense something." Yuki turned her head to Mayumi and Ren's direction. "I sense him."

Maybe Mayumi is going to be the bigger problem on our hands.

Mayumi

"This must be some sort of sick joke." I stated and Ren winced in pain as I placed my hand on his back.

"I knew....I knew she was up to no good." I furrowed my eyebrows at Toshiko on the White Dragon that went by Yuki.

Can we kill her nowww?

What makes you think finding out who Yuki is means it's okay to kill?

She's riding and has control of my mortal enemy. She has to die.

What if we just killed Yuki?

Not enough. She'd kill me, and Yuki isn't weak.

I thought you were strong.

I AM! Woman are powerful these days you know. I've been realizing more and more.

HA! I was just complimenting the beautiful old yet young lady Tsunade!

Yeahhhhh sureeeee.

"Mayumi!"  Ren called out to me.

"We have to get away from here.  We'll get caught in the crossfire."  Ren slowly stood up.  I could see his face.  It was coated with the emotion of pain. He shrunk back down. "Okay.. You have to get out of here. I'll buy you time." Ren gritted his teeth in pain.

"I won't leave you." I told him as Yuki started to flap her wings. Things were about to get hectic and we were in an area we shouldn't be.

I need to protect Ren.

"Mayumi. It's my duty to protect you. Not the other way around. Let me do this." Ren stated looking up at me and I gritted my teeth turning to him.

No.  This wasn't suppose to happen.  We shouldn't have come here.

"You told me you wouldn't leave me a few hours ago."  Why was he doing this..?

"Mayumi, I-"

"You're already breaking your promise!"  I was furious.

"MAYUMI!  Promises are meant to be broken."  Ren yelled at me.  My bottom lip quivered as I held back my tears.

I didn't want to lose him.

I heard a low growl from behind me.

Well shit.

I slowly turned to face Yuki and Toshiko. Yuki's eyes were cold. I could feel and see every emotion that her eyes were sending me.  I was frozen.

Before I knew it, before me was a beautiful paradise.  My eyes were deceiving me.  She took my sight of what was truly before me.

One of her specialties.  Taking away your sight.  She'll make you see where she wants you to see.  Right now, she doesn't want you to see where you actually are.

Isn't that the same as you?

I'm able to mess with your mind.  I can make you see your fears, your trauma, stuff like that.  Not where.  She's thinking of this place.

I looked in the sky to see dragons. Red, blue, green, purple, and even yellow ones.

What was this place?

You idiot! You aren't actually there! You are still before Yuki and Toshiko!

Yuki took a deep breath. "Water Style! Water Canon!"

"MAYUMI MOVE!" Ren screamed. He tried to pull my body out of the way and a beam of water impaled my shoulder.  

I fell on my knees and gripped my shoulder. Closing my eyes tightly.

Oh and you good?

My body is going numb.  I can't move.

I slowly opened my eyes and I had my vision back. My sight is getting dark and growing blurry.

You're losing a lot of blood.

The last thing I saw, was Ren's angry glowing gold eyes before it went all dark.
