Chapter 59: "You're not a Monster"

Ren

I just came out the hospital to watch the Chunnin exams which Mayumi was in. She was doing really well. Then the Black Dragon took over.. Mayumi was too careless.

I stood outside the arena. It was easy to sense her since we shared the same power.

"You're going to get her right?" Toshiko questioned appearing behind me.

"Of course. I care about her." I stated and Toshiko gave me a confused look.

"I didn't ask for why but okay." She shrugged and I laughed a bit.

"Thank you for taking care of her while I was...well dying!" I laughed even more and she smiled a bit.

"Go! What the hell! Stop stalling." She said pushing me.

"Okay.. Sheesh."

"Ren... I feel like something is going to go down and I need you to keep her in check. Some of the contestants in this year's exams have been very strange and mysterious." Toshiko stated and I nodded.

"Don't worry. I'll bring her back quick." I started to run.

Mayumi

I have no clue where I am. Trees were in every direction. I was lost...and scared myself.

There was a little puddle of water. I looked in it to see my own revolting, disgusting self.

I would say you've never looked better! The black scales bring out the eyes!

I backed away into a tree and slid down to my knees. I hugged myself tight. A shiver went down my spine. "I'm a monster..."

I could've killed someone today.

But you didn't...sadly.

"IT'S YOU!"  I stood and yelled.

It's me?

"YEAH YOU, YOU STUPID DRAGON!"

First of all, I warned you that being vulnerable would let me take over.

"NO IN GENERAL!  IF YOU WEREN'T IN ME...MY MOTHER WOULD BE ALIVE, I'D HAVE A NORMAL CHILDHOOD!"

I do not remember killing an older version of you what's so ever.  Your mom killing herself is bullshit, but me killing herself is bullshitter...And would a normal childhood make you strong with the age and size you are?

"I DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU SAY!"

Hehehe... sucks..

What?

Am I suppose to be hurt?  I don't care.  Hopefully you'll die soon. You are the worst person I've ever had.  Man I miss Ren.

"I RATHER BE DEAD THAN HAVE YOU IN ME!"  I yelled out loud.

"What the-" I turned to see two Jounins staring at me strangely.

"Kids these days, all ready getting action."  The other replied as they walked away.

"NOOO!  I'M PURE!"

HAha... Purely evil.

I screeched in pain clutching my abdomen.  What was going on.  This pain so suddenly.

HAHA... It's me..  If you rather die, don't worry...  You were told you needed to learn wind, lightning, fire, earth, and water...or I can take over your body and make myself a badass human villain!

You can't be serious.

When am I ever joking?

Inside I felt myself boiling up.  I can't even be serious with this thing!

Is it getting hot in here, or is it just me?

I lifted my hand to my face holding my index finger and middle finger out pointing them directly to my eyes.

Hey...  Umm...  What are you doing?

Turning you off.

I'll be back, you know that right?

A little time with out feeling like I can't trust myself is worth it.

Sigh...  You asked for it..

I gripped my own neck.  I struggled to breathe but, I couldn't control myself at all.

It was fun playing with you Mayumi but now it's time to-

At that moment, Ren flew threw the air and slapped his hands over my eyes.

I fell back and Ren landed on his feet beside me.

"Kiddd.." My body slowly went back to normal.  I could feel a burden being lifted.

I looked at Ren, and he looked at me as I teared up.  He kneeled beside me and patted my head as I cried.

"You are no monster.  You are just going through a difficult time.  You are learning who you are and who you are trying to be.  Don't let no one define you and your decisions.  You'll be fine.  I promise you."  Ren smiled at me.  He covered my eyes and I held his hand confused.  "You can cry.  It's okay.."

I felt tears leave my eyes.  I couldn't speak or scream.  I sat there silently crying.

All of a sudden I gasped feeling a surge of power nearby.  It felt like the dragon, but it couldn't be.  I removed Ren's hand from my eyes.  I looked up to see three giant snakes tormenting the village.

"Well shit.." Ren watched the snakes.
