Chapter 63: Broke

I hummed.  I sat in the middle of no where and all I did was hum.

I was dead.
I took my last step.
I breathed my last breath.

Was this what the afterlife brought?  Loneliness?  Pain?  Anything?

Gaara dropped me...and I died.

I saw fear in his eyes.  He wasn't himself.  The monster within him took over.

"So you've learned about the Shukaku.." He's back...  And not in my head..

"Yes indeed." He hears what's in my head?

"Yup."

"I'm assuming you know I'm dead."  I stated looking around for the dragon.

"Yup.  I know.  I just wanna know how you died." The dragon asked and I took a deep breath.

"Gaara... Dropped me." I stated and he started to laugh out loud.

"That's hilarious!  Love at the first drop?" Idiot.

"What'd you say?" He asked confused.

"Nothing."

"That's what I thought."

"What do I do now?"  I asked.

"You suffer for the rest of eternity alone.  Someone's about to be born with my eyes so imma waiting in the afterlife with you until it's time." He spoke and I got quiet.

This has been the most thrilling and fun part I've ever had in my life and it's like...

Everything that I've ever dreamed of...disappearing when I woke up...my heart hurts and I wish things ended differently.

I wish I was able to see more to life.

"Stop thinking like that.  You are making me feel guilty." The dragon groaned in disgust.

"It doesn't matter.  I'm dead.  I've failed Ren."

"You've failed yourself.  You fell too hard...literally.." The dragon started to die of laughter.

I sat there and teared up.

I was getting overwhelmed with anger, pain, and confusion.  Was it wrong for me to try to save Sasuke?  Was it?  I'm just really unfortunate..  Aren't I..?

"I want another chance."  I cried.

"It's too late for that.  You literally broke every bone in your body, and aren't breathing.  How can you get another chance?" The dragon stated and I continued to cry.

"I want another chance!" I screamed clutching my hair as I cried.

"Stop making me feel this way!" The dragon spoke in annoyance.  I was dead.  I didn't care about what he had to say.  There was nothing more for me, or nothing left.  He was going to move on to a next body.

I dropped on my knees and bawled my eyes out.  The pain was way too much.  I was suppose to prove to everyone why I wasn't a burden, why these eyes weren't a curse.

"What...you were going to prove that to people?"

I nodded covering my mouth trying to muffle the cries.  I lost it...I broke.

Don't make me regret this.

I opened my eyes, gasping for air.

You have to let me borrow your body for awhile.  You are completely broken...literally.

My body slowly moved getting up.  It hurt so much.  I looked up to see a beast and a giant toad with Naruto on top, fighting?!

That beast is Gaara by the way.

So that's how the Shukaku looks full form...And when did Naruto learn to summon a giant toad?!

Duck!

My body flung itself down as an arrow flew by.

"Let's end this once and for all, Mayumi." Mika.  She was walking towards me.

I felt an evil smirk plaster on my face as my body slowly risen.

"You got the same idea I have buttercup." The dragon chuckled and we both ran towards each other.

I'm back and I'm better.
