Chapter 58: The Last Match Begins! Gaara vs. Sasuke!

Gaara

He's appeared.   In the arena.  No fear in his eyes.  The instinct to kill.  Just what I've wanted.

"I knew you'd come..." I looked him straight in his eyes.

"The winner of this match by disqualification, Mika."  Mika was announced the winner... Mayumi...Sasuke's girl.

"What is she to you?" Sasuke questioned.

"She's someone," What? That girl is something to you? "No... She's nothing to me.."

"That's what I thought.." Sasuke smirked. "Someone like you can't care. You don't understand her.. What's she's been through.."

"I do. You don't, Uchiha." I stated glaring him in his eye.

He gave me angry eyes, "You don't know that."

Oh my goodness... Kill him!

"The fact that you say someone like me can't care means you don't know her as well as you thought." I spoke and Sasuke gave me a confused look.

It's time to settle this once and for all.

Sakura

"SASUKE!!!"  I screamed.

"He's really here..?"  Ino questioned nervously.

His outfit looked...interesting..  I heard male rompers are in these days..

"He really is! Of course he'd be here!" I turned to see Lee and Gai.

"Oh my, Lee!"  I smiled at him.  He had crutch and a bandaid on his face but he still looked in great shape.

I'm taking in...  Gai and Lee rocked rompers before Sasuke ever did..  Wow...

The difference is that, they actually make them look good compared to Sasuke.

Don't tell Sasuke I said that!!!

"Why does Sasuke look so bad in that romper?"  Choji asked munching on his bag of chips.

"Choji!!!"  Both Ino and I yelled.

Sasuke

I smirked.

This bastard thinks he's better than me?  Well guess again.

"Don't you dare let a guy like him win.  Especially after he called Mayumi weak."  Naruto spoke to me looked up at Gaara.

"Sasuke!"  He yelled once more.  I looked at him confused.  I'm right in front of him.  Why's he yelling?

"I want to fight you too."  Naruto stared with a serious face.

"Yeah."  I replied making him smile.

"Gaara!  Come down here!"  The Jounin called him as Naruto and Shikamaru made their way back up.

Mayumi..  This fight is for you...

Gaara slowly walked towards me laughing evilly.  He had a freaky grin on his face.  His eyes were haunting.

What the hell?

"Finally, the match that everyone has been waiting for.  Sasuke vs. Gaara.. Begin!"  The Jounin yelled starting the match.

Gaara immediately released sand from the gourd on his back.  This is what Kakashi was talking about.

Gaara staggered, he was shaky.  I felt such a dark aura from him.

"Please don't be so angry,"  He started, "Mother..."

What is he talking about?

More sand erupted from the gourd, "I gave you bad-tasting blood earlier, didn't I...?  I'm sorry..  But don't worry...  This time..  I'm sure this time it'll be real tasty.."  He stated looking straight in my eyes.  My blood isn't as good as he hopes it'd be...Pretty bitter.

Gaara twitched.  He looked like he's been so strained already.  He groaned in pain.

"Hmm...  You monster.  You have a big mouth saying you understand Mayumi."  I stated.  Hearing Mayumi's name, he calmed down.

"Come."  He stated staring at me waiting for my move.  I felt like I was fighting two different sides of him.

"Here I come."  I stated grabbing the Shuriken out of my pouch and throwing it at him.  He immediately used his sand to stop them creating a clone out of it.  He stood behind it with his arms crossed as I fought the clone.

Once the clone was out of the way, I had a direct hit.  He quickly had the sand protect him but I was quicker and I appeared behind him.  I punched him right in his face sending him flying back.

There was a crack in face.  His facial expression wasn't phased as he kneeled.

"Is that your sand armour?" I questioned.

"Come!"  I yelled and he stayed in his position.

"If you're not going to come to me, I'll go to you!"  The battle continued.
