decorating the tree [g]

"alright y/n, lets begin." your boyfriend grayson said with a grin. he had just finished setting up the artifical christmas tree that rests in the living room of your shared apartment.

you smiled, and popped a lid off one of the boxes holding the ornaments. you carefully started unwrapping an ornament, so that it wouldn't break. you weren't sure what it was.

"aw, baby's first christmas." you said with a smile as you admired your first ever christmas ornament. it was a pink hot air balloon with some zoo animals in the basket. across the middle of the balloon read 'baby's first christmas' and on the bottom was your birth year. you carefully hung the ornament on the tree, and went to unerapping more ornaments. you and grayson always did a purple and silver theme, so most of your ornaments followed that. your star was silver, and you normally added small purple bows through out the tree, with warm white lights.

you and grayson continued to decorate the tree together, until everything was on except the star. you grabbed the star and went to put it on the top of the tree but you weren't tall enough. grayson chuckled at you and lifted you up by the waist. you pushed the star on top of the tree, and adjusted it before grayson put you down. he set you down, and wrapped one of his arms around your waist before pulling you against him.

"it's perfect." he said as the two of you admired your christmas tree.
