being the new kid sucks. but it's even worse when you're blind.

you were currently sitting in the office of your brand new school. the office had called up to one of the classrooms, asking for someone to come down and help you. you needed to be guided around the school, and to all your classes.

you heard the door open, and the sound of footsteps on the floor.

"hi, i'm ethan." you felt someone's presence in front of you, as they leaned down.

"i'm y/n." you held your hand out for ethan to shake. you were startled a bit when ethan grabbed your hand, and shook it.

the worst part about being blind is the unexpectedness [ a/n: is that even a word???? ] of everything. especially if you weren't born blind.

"come on, y/n. i'm gonna show you around." ethan said. he was still holding your hand, and helped you stand up. he led you out of the office, and into the hallway.

"can i take your hand?" ethan asked. he had let go of your hand once you were out of the office. 

"i think that'd be easier." you replied.

ethan mumbled an okay, and took your hand again. he started walking, and you slowly walked with him.

ethan started telling you about all the classes and rooms that the two of you walked by. you felt ethan lead you down a hallway, and you reached your hand out. you felt the cold school lockers on your finger tips.

"here's a mirror." ethan chuckled. someone had put a mirror on the outside of a locker, and wrote "you're beautiful" on it.

"yeah? how do i look?" you smiled, and played with your hair a bit with your free hand. ethan was still holding your other one.

"beautiful." ethan mumbled.

"what?" you asked, and looked over at ethan.

"i-uh-um..you look good." ethan said.

"thanks." you mumbled, and felt your cheeks go hot. "based on your voice, and large hands, you must be pretty nice yourself."

ethan chuckled. "thank you." he said.

you and ethan continued with the tour of him showing you around the school. the two of you talked for a bit, and you found some cool stuff out about ethan, like he has a twin brother, and likes to skateboard.

you also found out that you had some classes with ethan, which made life alot more easier.
