ik you told me your name, but i decided to write this with just y/n because i didn't want this imagine specific to one person.

i just want you all to know that you are beautiful. everything about you is unique, and that's what makes you special. you're beautiful just the way you are, and i love you.

you stared at yourself in the mirror, looking up and down your body. you were only in a sports bra and underwear.

your fingertips gently grazed over your stomach, and your arms. you stared at your forearms. the scars were thin and faded.

you looked back up at your face, and took a step towards the mirror.

"i hate my nose..." you mumbled. you took a step back. "...and my legs."

"what did you just say?" a soft voice asked from the bedroom doorway. your head shot up in the direction of the voice. you saw your boyfriend ethan standing in the doorway, staring at you. his arms were limp at his sides as he leaned against the door frame.

"i-uh-nothing. it was nothing." you stammered.

"y/n, did you say you hate something about you?" ethan asked. you looked down and nodded. ethan didn't like it when you talked badly about yourself.

ethan walked over to you, and stood between you and the mirror, so you could no longer see yourself. ethan stared at you with soft eyes.

"you are so beautiful to me." he finally said. you looked up at him with a small smile.

"i am?" you asked.

"yes. everything about you is perfect to me. please don't talk badly about yourself because it makes me sad." ethan said.

"i'm sorry." you mumbled, and looked back down. ethan used his thumb and forefinger to tilt your head back up.

"i love your eyes, and how they light up when you smile. and i love your thighs, because i can rest my hand on one while i'm driving. i love your hair, and how soft it always is. i love how your hands fit into mine. i love every little detail about you, y/n. please never forget that." ethan said, and let go of your chin.

"thank you, ethan. i won't forget." you replied.
