"y/n, come back please." your boyfriend mumbled behind you as he chased after you.

"leave me alone, ethan." you yelled back at him. you and ethan had just gotten into a fight. you were so upset, even though you could barely remember what happened. the two of you had just started yelling at each other, and you stormed out of his house. you weren't even that mad anymore, but you didn't wanna give in to ethan so easily.

"y/n!" ethan shouted. you turned around to look at him. he was on his knees on the sidewalk, with tears rolling down his cheeks.

"i'm sorry ethan." you mumbled. you knew he couldn't hear you. with one swift movement you turned around and kept walking away.

*two days later*

you sat at home, alone. you missed ethan so much. you decided you were gonna go over to his house, and apologize. you quickly threw your shoes on, and left your house.

you walked to ethan's apartment building, since it wasn't that far away. you took the elevator up to ethan's floor, and walked down the hallway to his room.

you knocked on the door, and ethan's brother grayson opened it.

"y/n. i'm so glad to see you." grayson said softly. "ethan hasn't left his room since the fight."

"i'm so sorry about that. i was gonna come back sooner but i didn't wanna give in to him." you explained.

"i understand...come on in." grayson said, and stepped out of the way. you walked into the apartment room and took your shoes off.

"is it okay if i.." you mumbled, but trailed off.

"yeah, go ahead." grayson replied. he understood what you wanted to ask.

you smiled, and walked away. you walked to ethan's room, and softly knocked on the door.

"go away, grayson." ethan said from inside. his voice was scratchy, and broken.

"it's not grayson." you mumbled.

"y/n?"

"yes. and i'm coming in." you told him. you slowly opened ethan's door. the first thing you saw was a pile of blankets on ethan's bed. you knew he was in there somewhere.

you walked over to ethan's bed, and sat down on the edge. the blankets moved for a second, until ethan's head popped out of an opening.

his face was red, and splotchy. he had dark circles under his eyes and his lips looked so dry. his hair was a mess, and you could see dried tears on his cheeks.

"ethan.." you mumbled. "i'm so sorry."

ethan sighed, and sniffled.

"me too. i shouldn't have yelled at you."

"and i shouldn't have ran away." you said.

"it's okay." ethan mumbled.

"i love you." you said. ethan looked up at you, and smiled.

"i love you too." he replied.
