the front door slammed, and you woke up with a jolt. you heard a bag being dropped, and shoes hitting the wall as they were kicked off. heavy footsteps walked into the apartment, and you sat up on the couch. your boyfriend, ethan, was home from work. he saw you, but walked right past you to the kitchen.

"babe, how was your day?" you asked as you got up from the couch. you walked over to your boyfriend, and hugged him from behind.

"get off me." he mumbled, and walked away from you.

"ethan, what's going on?" you asked.

"don't play dumb, y/n. i know you've seen that picture." ethan quickly made himself a sandwich, before leaving the kitchen. he went down the hallway towards the bedroom, and you followed him.

"what picture, ethan?" you demanded.

"the picture of you kissing some other guy!" he yelled in response. you took a step back, suddenly scared of ethan.

"what? i've never done that! ethan, please."

"go on your twitter, and tell me how you aren't cheating on me." ethan said as he took a bag out of his closet, and started packing up his clothes. you pulled your phone out of your hoodie pocket, and went on twitter. your whole feed was blowing up with a picture of you from the back, 'kissing' another guy. but you zoomed in on the picture, and realized the guy was your brother, and you were simply kissing him on the cheek.

"ethan dolan! that is my brother! this was at his graduation, you where even there with me! i remember i wore that dress! it's just a bad angle, but i never cheated on you." you explained, a few tears falling from your eyes.

ethan grabbed your phone, and zoomed in on the picture. he handed your phone back, a sad look on his face.

"y/n, i'm so sorry. i just saw all this stuff on twitter, and didn't bother asking you first. i'm sorry." ethan said. he walked over to you, and wrapped you in a hug. you hugged him back, and rested your chin on his shoulder.

"i promise you ethan, i will never ever cheat on you." you mumbled into his ear.
