happier by ed sheeran is such a cute song im in tears
____________"grayson...i'm sorry. i just...i don't love you anymore." you watched as your boyfriend of two years stood in front of you, tears streaming down his face.
"h-how long?" grayson choked out.
"how long what?"
"how long have you...not loved me?"
"um, about a month."
"a m-month?" grayson squeaked. "you haven't loved me for a month?"
you nodded, and looked down. you knew that you had crushed grayson's heart, but you didn't want to be with someone that you didn't love. grayson had been such a good boyfriend, but you just fell out of love.
"i'm so sorry, grayson. i hope you understand."
"no, of course. i just...i'm not what you want. i get it."
"one day, you'll make some other girl very happy. but i don't deserve you, grayson."
grayson stood there as tears rolled down his cheeks. he didn't know what to say, or what to do. his heart was broken.
six months later, you were walking home from work and decided to stop in at a coffee shop. you pushed the door open, and listened to the bells as they jingled.
you got in line, and looked around for an empty table to sit at. as you looked around, you saw grayson, sitting with a girl. she had brown hair, and green eyes. freckles were sprinkled across her cheeks, and they scrunched up as she laughed at something grayson had just said. grayson turned his head slightly, and his smile dropped when he saw you. you gulped, and tore your eyes away.
you ordered your drink, and went to sit down at a table. you could see grayson's face as he talked, but you couldn't hear what he was saying. you were just glad that he looked happy. you knew that one day he'd be over you, and he'd make someone happier.
