"ethan...come on." you said, and pulled your boyfriend into the movie store. ethan was scared to go inside because there was a group of popular kids in the back corner near the horror films, and they picked on ethan.

"don't let them get me, y/n." ethan mumbled as he came inside. the door closed, and the kids heard it. they turned around, and snickered when they saw ethan. you glared at them, and led ethan over to the pg 13 movies.

"which movie do you want?" you asked.

ethan looked around before pulling a movie off the shelf. he showed it to you, and you took it from his hands.

"this one." he said.

"pirates of the caribbean?"

"yes. grayson and i watched the first one yesterday."

"okay."

ethan pushed his glasses up on his nose as he looked up at you. he flashed a lopsided grin at you, and you smiled back. you and ethan walked to the front counter to check out the movie.

the popular kids came up behind you, and started laughing. you noticed them pointing at ethan, and turned around.

"hey, shut up. you don't get to laugh at him like that. just because you stole mommy and daddy's credit card to buy all your stuff doesn't mean that ethan is below you at all. in fact, he's above you. his heart is bigger than your ego, so stop being so jealous." you snapped. the three kids stared at you in shock, as you turned around and walked to the counter with ethan.

"j-just this, please." ethan mumbled and put the movie on the counter. the worker scanned it for him, and smiled.

"that was really brave of you." the man behind the counter told you.

"thanks." you replied. ethan thanked the man, and took the movie. you grabbed ethan's free hand and led him out of the store.

"thanks for that, y/n." ethan mumbled.

"you're welcome, ethan." you said, smiling at your boyfriend.
