you looked out the back window of your house. it overlooked the garden you had worked on all weekend. you felt two strong arms wrap around your waist, and knew it was your husband, grayson.

"the garden looks really nice, hun." grayson said in your ear as he too looked out at all your hard work.

"thank you, gray." you replied, and turned your head. you kissed grayson's jaw, as it was the piece of him closest to your lips.

the silence was interuppted by your two children running down the stairs. you had two boys, one aged nine, and the other was five. they had helped you on the garden, and even added their own touches like some rocks that they've found on their adventures, and one of their toy dump trucks. you were fine with it, because it added to the meaning, and specialty of the garden. your boys were just like their father; energetic and adventurous. every day was fun with them.

"mom, dad, we're going outside to play!" your oldest yelled as him and his brother ran past you, and out the back door.

"should we go out with them?" grayson asked.

"yeah, i'll bring out some juice." you replied. grayson let go of you, and followed his kids outside. you went into the kitchen, and got four glasses out of the cupboard. you grabbed a jug of pink lemonade out of the fridge and filled up all the glasses. you put the juice away before carefully picking up all four glasses, and heading to the back door. you struggled to get the back door open, but eventually did.

"boys, juice!" you yelled to your kids and husband who were playing in the grass. grayson was on his back, while your kids rolled their trucks over his body. your sons saw you, and quickly ran onto the deck and over to you. they each grabbed a glass with their small hands, and thanked you. grayson got up from the ground, and came up onto the deck. you giggled when you saw all the muddy tire tracks on his clothes and skin.

your younger son laughed. "we got daddy dirty!' he said, giggling. you smiled when your kids high fived, and handed grayson a glass of lemonade.

"yeah, very funny. i'm gonna have to get you two back." grayson said.

"uh oh!" both of your sons said, looking over at each other. they set their glasses down on the patio table, and ran away. grayson smiled evily as he took a sip of his lemonade.

"please don't hurt my boys." you said as grayson set his glass down. he kissed your cheek, and chased after your kids. there was alot of yelling and giggling coming from the yard, as you sat down in a patio chair, and sipped your lemonade.
