CARRIE POV: "I'm pretty sure your daughter called you while you were asleep." I tell Tim. He goes over to the answering machine and listens to the message.
I don't know where Tim and I stand after last night. After the whole bottle, window fiasco, he wasn't really wanting to talk. Maybe he'll want to talk now, since he's (hopefully) sober. I know this sounds hypocritical, but he scared me with how drunk he was last night. He came into the bar drunk, and somehow we managed to get home without killing ourselves. However, he seems like a really nice guy.
"She sounds adorable." I say, trying to cut the silence.
"What?"
"You daughter sounds sweet." I say again.
"Oh, yeah she is." He says. He's not really acting all to social.
"What's her name?"
"Audrey. She's 13." He says looking through the mail on the counter. He flips through, not paying much mind until 2 letters catch his eye. He stops.
"You okay?" I ask.
"Yeah, uhh. I- I don't know. I don't think so." He says pulling the two letters out. I catch the sender address on each of them briefly. Their from different people. One's from Faith and the other is from somebody by the name of Jack.
