Chapter 55

"Jess...Jessica!" I hear Justin shouting at me.

"Dude, wake her up she has a concussion she can't sleep," I hear more voices. Suddenly i feel cold water hit my face and i open my eyes and gasp but soon feel sleepy again.

"Come on Jess, you got to stay awake," Justin says sitting on my bed next to me. I groan and close my eyes but he pulls me to a sitting position.

"I just want to sleep," i lazily say to him as i lean my head on his chest. He pulls me back and kisses my head.

"I know babe, but you have to keep awake for at least twelve hours, Layla does too," He says just as we heard Layla shout at Zack.

"Let me freaking sleep!" She shouts from downstairs. Justin laughs a little then looks at me.

"Come on, let's go downstairs," he says standing up. I groan and attempt to stand but i need help balencing. Justin manages to help me down to the couch where Layla is struggling to stay awake as well.

"Dude, this is going to be a long twelve hours," Zack says with a sigh shaking Layla awake again.

A few hours later and it has officially been three hours since the accident, i need sleep, and i need it now! We were now standing because the boys needed a new way to keep us awake, only this made them stand to to help us stand. The door opening and little feet made us all look toward the front door. Brooke came running in all wet, guess it was raining. Allison soon followed but stopped when she seen us.

"Why aren't you four in school?" She asked taking her jacket off and helping Brooke.

"These idiots won't let me sleep Allison!" Layla complains making the boys chuckle a little. Allison walks over and looks at us.

"Dear goodness, what is wrong with them?" She says looking at Justin and Zack for an anwser.

"Well, they both kinda have concussions because of a huge fight that broke out at school," Justin says filling Allison in on the details. Allison shakes her head and holds my face.

"Did you give them some Advil?" she asked. 

"No, we couldn't find any," Zack says since he was the one who searched the whole house for it. But i knew Allison kept it hidden because she was afraid i would have a break down and try suicide again, which i don't blame her, if i had a daughter who did that i would hide it too. 

"I'll get it," Allison says as she leaves the room. Brooke then runs over and hugs my legs.

"Hi Jess," she says in her cute little voice. I smile down at her.

"Hey B...Look whose here," I say pointing to Justin. for some reason the girl is in love with him. She screams and hugs Justin's legs making him smile, he had a soft spot for kids. He keeps one hand holding me up while he picks Brooke up with the other and smiles.

"How's my favorite girl today?" he says making me smile, he is so good with kids it's not even funny.

"Shhh, Jess will hear you," She giggles in a whisper tone making even Layla and Zack smile.

"Oh, i forgot. We don't want her knowing she is second," Justin whispers back making Brooke laugh and wrap her little arms around his neck and hug him as he sets her back down. She runs upstairs to her room just as Allison walks back with some pills and two cups of water. Layla and i take the pills and relax a little.

"I got called in to work, do you four mind watching Brooke tonight?" she asked putting her jacket on. 

"Of course not, you don't worry we got all three under control," Zack says making Layla hit him. Allison laughs and says her goodbyes and is gone.

Another two hours later and here we are standing again because Layla decided to try sleeping, and as punishment we both have to stand. I glare at her as i lean into Justin.

"Has it been twelve hours yet?" I complain getting tired of this. 

"Sorry babe, still have along ways to go," he says kissing my cheek. 

"Whose at the door?" Layla says as we hear knocking. Zack leaves Layla and opens the door.

"Come on in boys," he says walking back to Layla. Andrew and the boys along with Kaylee walk in. 

"How are you two holding up?" Kyle asked taking a seat with kaylee on the floor while the others take the chairs and couches. Layla groans and i just lean into Justin again.

"I'm taking that as a, they are super tired and ready to kill you guys?" Spencer teases making everyone laugh. 

"Shut up Spencer, when you have a girl you'd do anything for her too," Zack says making him stop laughing.

"Alright we are not here to talk about relationships," Spencer says making us laugh.

"Jess, i can't sleep," Brooke says rubbing her eyes at the bottom of the stairs. We all turn toward her, it's around 9pm and usually she is out like a light. 

"Come here baby," I say holding out my arms for her. She walks over and i pick her up and sit down with her. 

"She is adorable," Andrew says with a smile. Well this is a side i haven't seen before from him. Brooke smiles at him, she isn't afraid of new people that is for sure.

"Are you Jess's friend?" she asked climbing over me and sitting on Andrew's lap. Andrew smiles again.

"Yeah, you must be Brooke," he says poking her tummy making her laugh.

"Look at that, Andrew has a soft spot for kids tooooo," Layla says in a girly tone making me laugh. Andrew glares at her but when Brooke laughs with us he smiles again.

The rest of the night went by in a blur, Brooke ended up falling alseep on Andrew so he took her and put her to sleep and the boys left after that. Of course we were forced to stay awake for at least five more hours which was going to be the death of me.
