Chapter 52

What i did next shocked everyone, i smiled. Just smiled at her then i stepped forward.

"I may have issues, but at least i'm not fake," I say to her in an emotionless tone as i get in her face. "You see i can be broken and torn down, but i am always me. You, you are just some preppy little girl who hides behind a fake mask everyday, trying to fit in with people who aren't even really your real friends. At least i know what is real and what isn't, i can be the most broken person in the world, but i have real friends, something you will never feel because you put up an act. Everything about you is fake, but i wouldn't change a thing about me, because i am a real person," i snap at her. It is silent for a few moments as Maddie's group looks at her waiting and my group looks at me waiting for something to happen. The bell snaps us all back to reality and maddie's friends slowly start walking away.

"I am not fucking fake!" Maddie yells as she slaps me hard across the face. My head whips to the side and the boys are by my side in seconds, well not Zack he was holding a very pissed off Layla back.  "How dare you call me fake! You are the fake one here," she snaps again. Only this time Kyle steps forward just as Maddie's boyfriend does too. 

"I suggest you take your barbie and leave," Kyle says crossing his arms carefully since he was still in pain from the shot.

"Back up," the boy says stepping forward which makes Maddie smirk. Andrew and the other boys step up.

"He said leave, now," Andrew says in an aggressive tone. The boy backs up knowing he would never take on all these boys. 

"This isn't over," maddie says walking away with her friends. I smile at the boys and at myself for actually standing up to her for once in my life.

"Let me see your face," Kyle says turning my head so he could see the damage. I didn't care if i had a bruise now, i just am happy i did this finally.

"Yup, already a bruise forming," Andrew says looking at it.

"why are you smiling? You just got slapped!" Layla says looking at me weird.

"Because, that was the first time i have actually defended myself and it felt pretty good," I say making them all smile.

"OH heck, good girl gone bad!!!" Zack shouts dramaticly. We all laugh and go to our first hours. My first hour is with Layla and Kyle which was perfects because we all sat next to each other.

"This class is boring," Kyle complains as we just sit and not even listen to the Sub talk about our lesson. As we do, Jade walks in with a paper and says a few words to the Sub before looking at me. That was weird. I watch as she makes her way over, Jade was a grade below us, so it's weird she is in here right now.

"You're Jessica right?" she says in a shy voice.

"Um, yeah," I say shocked she knows me. She hands me a paper and leaves quickly. I sit up and carefully unfold the note, inside it says "Will" what does this mean? 

"What is that?" Kyle says leaning over, i show him and he looks at it werid.

"I don't know, a paper i guess," i say as i carefully place it in my back pocket as the bell rings.

"Second hour here we come," Layla says looping her arm with mine as we walk to our second hour which we also have together, along with Zack, Andrew, and Spencer. This hour should be fun.

At lunch time i sit looking at the three pieces of paper i have recieved throughout the day. they so far say "Will You Go" which i assume someone is being a smart butt and pulling my leg here but hey, might as well play along, right? 

"So, any ideas of who it could be?" Zack says sitting with Layla on his lap. I shake my head and sigh.

"Doesn't matter, i would never go with anyone besides Justin, and he is kinda in a hospital not responding last time i checked," i say in a sad voice, but i don't miss everyone looking at each other with small smiles. Okay, something fishy is really going on here.

"Well, i'm sure the rest of the day will go by fast and you can go see him. Pattie could use a break," Layla says eatting her apple. Kyle nods.

"Yeah, we can all go downt here later if you want," he says making me smile.

"That sounds good, i wanna see if he is making any progress to waking up soon," i say putting the three papers in my pocket just as Kaylee walks up.

"I have something to give you Jessica," she says handing me a paper with the words 'to' on it. I sighn and add it to the others.

"It's going to be a long day," I say placing my head on the table.

My last three hours past fast and now i was walking to my locker with Layla. I got there and sigh when i see a letter taped to my locker. 

"When will this game end," i say as i rip it open and take out the paper, "Will You Go To...... Go to your house, there's a surprise awaiting you" i read out loud. Layla jumps with joy.

"Ohhhhhhh, someone is already in good with your mom if they got in your room for a gift of some sort," She says as the boys all walk up.

"Why are you all so happy," Zack says kissing layla on the head. Layla smiles at the paper and all the boys smirk. Obviously they all know something i don't, and it's kind of making me a little mad.

"What ever, let's just go," i say as we get into all the cars and head to my place, which is where we have all been the past few days. 

We pull up to my house and Rylee's car is still in the drive way but it is moved, guess he went out for lunch with the kids or something. I walked into the house with everyone trailing behind me, i smiled when i seen a single pink rose sitting on the table next to the door. I picked it up and smelled it and read the note, "I heard from a source that Pink was your favorite color, follow the petals," it says as i looked on the ground, sure enough there was a trail leading to the kitchen. I smiled and followed them, i got to the bar and looked around, there on the counter was a box of chocolate covered strawberries. I smiled and ate one as i picked up the note, "Sweet just like you...But there's still more, Brooke knows," it says as i look around for my sister. I walk into the living room where all the kids and everyone was sitting. Brooke was sitting on the floor with a note taped to her back. I laughed and took it and read it, "Just kidding, just go upstairs," it said which makes me smile even though i know i have to turn down who ever it is.

"Go already!" Everyone shouts at me. I glare at them and make my way up stairs. I follow more pink rose petals that lead to my room, the door was closed which never happens. I slowly turn the handle and the scene behind it makes my heart stop.
