I told her i shouldn't have came to this thing, this is why i avoid stupid parties. I watched as Maddie and Kaylee made their way over, stumbling because they were clearly a little tipsy already. Layla crossed her arms and didn't even seem bothered by the two girls in front of us. That's what i loved about her, she was fearless, she would stand up to anyone and anything.

"Maddie, Kaylee," Layla says toward them as they stand a few feet away. I stay a step behind Layla, i wasn't good with these things, plus Maddie bullied me enough already.

"Layla, always a pleasure," Maddie said crossing her arms as well and looks at me with a smirk, "See you brought a friend along. I don't remember inviting that freak," she snaps at me.

"Actually, i invited her. The host of the party told me to bring who ever i pleased, and Jessica is my guest so back off," she says trying to be civil. I knew that Layla hated Maddie with a burning passion because they got into it a few years back when Maddie stole Layla's boyfriend from her.

Maddie smiles, "Like Zack would allow something like that," she looks at me, "In his house," she says with venom.

"Listen, we are just trying to have a good Friday night, why do you always have to be a bitch and start shit," Layla finally snaps making Maddie smile in victory.

"Come on Maddie, let's just go back and dance," Kaylee suggest knowing that when Layla and Maddie get going it's like world war three. She grabs Maddie's arm and pulls her but Maddie refuses to move.

"No way, not till the creature is removed from the party," she says toward me again.

What i don't understand is how this girl has friends? i mean i have never seen her be nice to anyone, except the guys she tries hitting on. She makes people feel like nothing, and in my case, i already feel awful and she doesn't help.

"I am about to rearrange your pretty little face if you don't walk away," Layla says holding back from hitting the blonde.

Maddie steps back a little knowing that Layla was serious, "Whatever," she says walking away.

"Sorry," Kaylee says before she runs after her friend and continues dancing with everyone.

"I swear, one of these days," Layla says dragging me through the crowd until we reach the kitchen. "want anything to drink?" she asked me taking some type of mix drink from the guy tending the drinks.

"No thank you," i say to her as i look around.

"Layla, glad you made it," Zack says. Not gonna lie, Zack was a looker, he was the captain of the basketball team for three years in a row now.

Layla flashes him one of her signature smiles, "Of course, i wouldn't miss it for the world," she says in a flirty tone before looping her arm with mine, "This is Jessica," she says with a smile.

"Jessica, yeah, i have you in a few classes," he says, "Nice to meet you properly," he says holding out his hand. I don't take it though, i refuse to let a guy touch me because of the monster i call a father.

"Alright then," he says pulling his hand back and still smiles at us, "How are you enjoying the night so far?" he asked leaning on the counter.

"Well, we just got here and i already want to rip Maddie's hair out," Layla says with a sigh looking at him. I just watch the two interact. They would so make a cute couple.

"Yeah, i didn't invite her. Kaylee brought her as her plus one sadly," he says making Layla smirk.

"Well, i have to get this child to let lose and have fun, so text me," she says writing her number down and dragging me to the dance floor.

"I really don't want to dance Layla, i'll be by the kitchen if you need me," i shout over the music and make my way to the kitchen again. I watch as Zack starts dancing with Layla and the smile never leaves her face. I wish i could be like that with guys.

We've been at the party for a few hours now and i hear my phone buzz. It's a text so i open it,

I just stopped by Layla's.... You know what lying gets you young lady... You better be home in an hour or else! ~Dad

Oh crap! I was dead meat. I quickly put my phone in my pocket and took off toward Layla, only problem i can't seem to find her anywhere. Oh well, i don't have time for this. I run out of the house and start heading toward my house. It's about a twenty minute walk, if i walk fast i can make it. Between my worrying and not paying attention i ran smack into someone causing me to fall on the ground.

"Watch where you're going," a deep voice snapped making me shake a little. I looked up and my night just kept hating on me because, standing before me was Justin Bieber. Great just want i need right now, i am already behind as it is.

"Sorry," i whisper pushing myself up and walk fast on my path home. I looked behind me and seen him watching me. Did i have something on me? Oh well, he isn't important right now, what is, is that i was going to get it bad tonight that was a promise....
