Chapter 82

Jade started barking violently, you could barely hear over this storm but it was something. Justin sat up and looked out.

"What is it Jade?" I said as i crawled toward her. Justin grabbed my arm and held me back while looking at something, what i dont know because it was raining so hard you couldn't see shit.

"Jess, go out the other side and run," He says in my ear so i could hear him. I look at him worried and he pushes me toward the back of the tree to crawl out. I crawl out and stand up just as Justin comes crawling out still looking the other way.

"What is it?" i say freaking out.

"run," he says as he grabs my arm and pulls me along with him. Suddenly i hear a ton of growls and branches cracking, we were being chased by something, well, more than one of what ever it is. Jade was left behind, we lost her. The rain wasn't helping, and the newly muddy woods ground wasn't doing us any favors. I slipped and slide down a steep hill, Justin close behind, hitting trees and sticks on the way down. We rolled to a stop at the bottom and realized we were in a canyon type thing with a lot of water and mud. Justin got up and attempted to climb up, but the mud was not allowing it.

"Shit," he says as the growling approches us again. i get up only to slip back down. A few rocks fall from above us and i look up, a pack of wolves were staring down at us, and we had little room to run. I get up and grab Justin's arm.

"Justin," i say staring the wolves down. Justin moves us back away from the canyon slope as the wolves make their way down.

"Find a way out," he says as he grabs a large stick and swings at the first wolf. I run the other way, looking for any way out of this mess. I find a way, a slope with some trees to grip. I turn to yell for Justin, but as soon as i do, i am greeted by a black wolf stalking toward me. I back up against the wall and stare at it as the rain poors around us.

"Jess go!" Justin shouts as he is holding the others back. I turn fast and start climbing, grabbing tree branches to pull myself up with the little strength i had left. I was slipping and getting cut up, but the wolf was gaining on me. It was climbing the hill, struggling with the mud as well. I was almost to the top, when i felt a sharp pain in my leg. The wolf has grabbed me with its powerful jaws and was pulling me down with it. I lost my grip on a tree and the mud took us both down. Now i was bleeding, covered in mud from head to toe, and has a pissed off wolf with me.

"Justin!" I shout as the wolf jumps on me. I roll in the mud to try and push it off me, i hold it back just inches from my face. I barely had strength to do this. It was suddenly pushed off me and i rolled to the side. I looked and Lexi was there.

"Lexi?" i whispered as i felt tired. I watched as Lexi barked and snapped at a few wolves, just as Jade came as well and the two were slowly backing the wolves off. Then i heard voices.

"Lexi? Where did she go?" I heard a familiar voice. It was Rylee. Lexi gave one more mean growl and the wolves scattered. By this point i lost a lot of blood and was getting weaker and weaker, i didn't know where Justin was but i did know help was here. Lexi came up and laid half on me and half off, like she was trained to do in this kind of situation. Jade tried coming over but Lexi got defensive so she backed off.

"Lexi, where are you girl?" I heard Cara shout. So andrew must be here too. Lexi suddenly barked making me jump a little.

"She's down in that canyon," andrews voices shouted as i heard them get closer. I seen a flashlight and then they came into view.

"How the hell dow we get down there?" Cara asked freaking out. Lexi was still on me, her warmth was helping a lot. I was so focused on staying awake, i didn't hear someone walk up to me.

"Jessica, are you alright?" Rylee said as he got down next to me in the mud. I slowly looked at him, but didn't say anything.

"She got bite," Justin said making both Rylee and me jump at his sudden appearence. He was bleeding as well.

"Jess, listen, you have to stay awake alright?" Rylee said as he moved closer. Lexi snapped at him as he tried to reach for me, this making Jade growl as well.

"Lexi, it's okay," I whispered making her get off me and sit beside Justin. Rylee slowly lifted me out of the mud, slipping  alittle in the process. I looked around.

"How did you get down here?" i asked but then seen a rope. He looks at me and look at him in fear.

"better hang on," he says as i use my last strength to wrap my arms around his neck and hang in as he climbs up with Justin close behind. I don't ever remember getting to the top, all i remember is blacking out and the feeling of falling.
