We arrived home a half hour later, after i sat and decided about the dress. I ended up buying it and i was happy i did, but also scared. I kept playing through my mind what everyone would say or think when they seen me, that i wasn't pretty enough, that i was just broken.

"You know, you have been sitting out here for like ten minutes," Justin says with an amused look leaning in the car window. I snap out of my thoughts and gave him a small smile as i got out of the car. He looked at the bag in my hands and smiled.

"Sorry, i spaced out," i say as we walked into the house.

"Going to show me that dress," He said looking at the bag. Before i could say a word Layla grabbed the bag and ran upstairs.

"YOU HAVE TO WAIT!" she called back slamming the room door making me laugh and Justin look confused.

"Guess i will have to wait," he says looking back at me. "So what was going on in that pretty little head of yours," He says wrapping his arms around me and kissing my forehead.

"Just about Prom and things.... Where is everyone? I asked looking around and noticing they were all gone.

"The beach behind the house.... I didn't know if you would want to because you can't swim and all," he says looking down at me. I shrug.

"I want to lay out in the sun...Let me change," i say running up to my room before realizing i don't even have a swim suit because i don't swim. I slowly made my way to Layla's room and knocked. She opened the door with a smile as she was already in her black bikini.

"What can i do for you darling?" she says allowing me to walk in the room, she had cloths everywhere and my dress set neatly on the dresser.

"I kinda need to borrow a swim suit," i say in a soft voice. I know she is my best friend and all, but i never asked for anything from her. she looked just a shocked before smiling. She walked to her bag and pulled out a pink and black zebra bikini and walked over.

"This will look good on you," she says with a smile as i look at it with fear. That would for sure show off all my scars, even more than i wanted Justin or anyone to see.

"Nevermind, i will stick with a tank and shorts," i say going to leave but she pins me to the wall.

"women, you need to get over your fear of how you look...Now put the dang thing on before i make you," she says in a teasing voice. I look at her in shock.

"You are so violent," i say taking the bikini and going to her bathroom. I quickly put it on and looked myself over, no way, not happening. I found a loose shirt and put it on, then slide some running shorts on and walked out with my hair tied in a bun.

"NO! You promised to wear it," Layla shouted. I smirked at her.

"I do have it on, you never said i couldn't cover it up," i say as we walk downstairs. Justin was waiting and he chuckled when he seen Layla.

"What's with you," He asked slightly amused. Layla glared at me then back at him.

"Your girlfriend is a promise breaker," She says stomping out the back door. I laugh and drag Justin along until we get to the beach where everyone was either in the water, on a jet ski, or laying in the sun. I smiled and laid next to Kaylee.

"Hey," i say making her smile.

"Hey Jess.... Aren't you warm?" She questioned but i shook my head no and she dropped the question and went back to relaxing.

"ZACH DON'T EVEN!!!" Layla screamed making Kaylee and i look up just as Zach jumped off the dock with Layla over his shoulder. They came up and Layla dunked him under laughing as they messed around.

An hour passed and the sun was taking its toll on me, i was sweating in my cloths and was dying to cool off. Everyone was in the water at this point and wasn't paying attention, so i took a chance. I slipped my shorts off and revealed my bikini bottom. I paused and took a deep breath as i slide my shirt over my head and i felt the cool ait hit my skin.

"Hey Jess, I...." Justin's voice trailed off as our eyes met. My heart raced and my mind was everywhere. He was looking everywhere on me, over my scars and burns and cuts. I felt ugly so i went to put the shirt back on but her grabbed my arms and stopped me.

"don't," he whispered pulling me to my feet. I felt my eyes get watery as he traced the scar on my collor bone with his index finger. His body was sheilding me from the others, which i was thankful for. I let him trace every scar i had, from my collor bone, to my stomach, to my back, everywhere. He carefully went over them, leaving a burning trail along the way. I needed his touch, more than anything.

"Sure you still want to go to Prom with me?" I said as a tear slide from the corner of my eye. He wipped it away and smiled at me.

"Why would i not want to go with the most beautiful girl alive," he said as he kissed me. I smiled in the kiss and hugged him as voices brought us out of the moment.

"Yo, you guys want to go to the carnival," Andrew said walking up with the others. No one said a word about my scars, they all just smiled and were happy.

"Sounds fun to me," I say holding Justin's hand. Layla shots me a huge grin as we all go back inside and change.

An hour later we all were at the carnival. I changed into something simple, a cute tank top with my favorite pair of shorts, which showed off my legs. Layla went with a cute lace red sundress and Kaylee went with a cute top and shorts. the boys we all dressed in basketball shorts and plain shirts. Justin and i walked hand in hand as we all walked through the crowd.

"What are we doing first?" Specner asked us all. After arguing about what to do first we all decided we'd go off on our own and meet back at the cars at 11pm.

"Where to first?" Justin said in my ear since it was so loud around us. I looked around until my eyes landed on a few things i wanted to do.

After playing every game i wanted and going on a few rides i began to get hungry.

"Can we get some food?" I asked as we walked toward a few tables. Justin nods and walks us to a table.

"You stay right here, don't move because i don't want to lose you in the crowd," He says kissing me on the cheek before he disappears in the sea of people. The tables were off to the side and not a lot of people noticed them or where ever over here. I sat there playing with a flower i found swinging my legs as i sat on the table.

"Hello there," i heard a boy say as i watched about four guys walking over. Oh this doesn't look good, where's Justin when i need him?
