"Stop." I protested to Edward as he drove me for our first day of school. He was rubbing my arm and I wasn't in the mood.

"I wish you would relax."

"Relax? You weren't the depressed one who everyone thinks is crazy."

"No one thinks you're crazy."

"Whatever." I sighed and leaned back in my chair.

Edward stopped and leaned over to me.

"Kiss?"

I started to turn away, but he put his hands on my hips. I sighed and kissed him.

I got out of the car and got the stares I expected.

"They're looking."

"No one is thinking about you....except for Mike."

Soon enough Mike rounded the corner.

"Arizona!" He yelled wrapping his hands around my waist. "It's really good to see you. You scared everyone when you got lost in the woods."

"Yeah, I don't really remeber much."

"But you remeber him." Mike said turning to Edward. He was now the hated party. I felt bad for him, this was my fault.

"I'm going to class." He said smoothly and pecked my cheek.

"Bye."

Mike scoffed. "That guy."

"What about him?"

"Bella, everyone knows he had something to do with your disapparence. He might have tried to kill you, all the Cullens are kind of weird."

"I don't think so."

'Where's Jessica and Angela?"

"You didn't hear?"

"Hear what?"

"Everyone is supicious about the Cullen boys, Angela, Jessica, and most kids are long gone."

"I should probably get to class."

"Yeah, i'll walk you."

I followed closely behind Mike noticing only two or three people in the parking lot. How many people have left?

I walked inside and to my first class. My schedule had been changed to math first and I spent that with Edward and Mike. Only ten people filled the classroom. The teacher began and I glanced at Edward who just smiled.

"Edward?" I whispered.

He turned to me.

"Everyone's gone."

"Humans have their own perception of things. It doesn't matter." Edward's face tightened, he was mad. I studied his eyes.

"You're hungry."

"It's not bad."

"it's not bad." I scoffed. "This is dangerous."

"Bella, can we talk about this later?"

"What's wrong?"

"Something. I don't want to talk about it now."

I tried to pay attention in class, but I could do nothing except stare at Edward's hungry eyes. He smiled lightly.

Class dismissed and I caught Edward by his locker.

"Talk to me."

"Later."

"Later? If you are planning on going on some killing spree..."

"Is that what you think I am? Some killing animal? You're just like everyone else."

"Edward."

I alerted his attention to the passing bystanders.

Mike ran up.

"Hey, is everything alright?"

"Yeah, fine." I smiled weakly at Mike.

"Come to lunch when you're ready." Mike grabbed my hand expecting me to move.

"Umm..give me a minute."

Mike walked off.

"Come talk to me when you're ready."

"Whatever."

"Edward..."

"It's fine Bella."

"Your are overreacting. Wasn't it you who told me you wanted my blood."

"I still do."

"Okay, I can understand that. You are a vampire after all. Can you just tell me what you want to tell me?"

"There are a group of rogue vampires hunting close."

"What? How close?"

"Close enough to catch your scent in the woods."

"So another James?"

"No, much tougher and bigger. He has a gift."

"What gift?"

"It's complicated."

"Okay. Thanks for telling me."

"You deserve to know."

"Thanks anyway, I love you."

He laughed, "I love you too."
