Never Gonna Give You Up

"You in?" Renee asked closing and locking the door. She was determined to not let me go mad again and one of her terms was that Edward could come if we slept in different bedrooms and I had to pass all of my classes. School. We were still moving to New York and that meant a new school in the big apple. Edward climbed in the car next to me.

"Do you feel better?" I asked him.

"I should be asking you that."

"Alright kids, let's go." Phil said climbing into the front seat and pecking Renee's cheek with his lips. I had yet to inform them we were married and had already had an 'interesting' night. I figured I should keep that for myself until later.

"Are you two excited about your new school?" Phil asked. he had been trying hard to be nice to me and Edward. he wanted to be like a father to me and I wanted distance.

"Delighted." was Edward's response.

"You talk so proper for a teen."

"Thank you, I've been told that before."

"Really? Where you planning on going to college?"

"I'm following Bella." He said stroking my hair. "Where ever she wants to go."

"You must have something in mine."

"Alaska."

"Alaska?"

"They have a great science program."

Phil laughed, "Hope you weren't planning on getting a tan."

"Don't worry, I wasn't." Edward laughed.

I laid back on the seat as the ride to New York continued smoothly.

"I prefer my driving, humans drive so slow."

"I don't." I whispered back to Edward and he smiled lightly.

"One near death experience and they'll never forget it." He joked.

He laid his head on my shoulder and wrapped his arm around my midsection. He closed his eyes.

"What are you doing?"

"Sleeping."

"You don't sleep."

"They don't know that." Edward said kissing my collar bone. I sat there motionless as he made himself comfortable.

I made several attempts to move, but Edward held me in place. He continued this until Phil stopped for gas and finally Edward got up.

"Finally." I sighed.

He kissed my cheek and I blushed.

"I love you Mrs...."

I put a finger to his lips and motioned towards Renee.

"Ms. Swan." he corrected quickly.

"I love you Mr. Cullen."

I laid on his chest and called it returning the favor. I fell asleep in the most comfortable position between his chest and arm.
