I paced back and forth on the hard wooden stage. This dress was beyond uncomfortable and it was huge. I wished Alice was here so she could bring me some beautiful dress I would instantly fall in love with. She didn't and so it was up to me to make the best of it.
Edward gave me a look and smirk. I could tell what he was thinking, mentally ripping my clothes from my body.
He placed his hand on my hip and pulled me towards him.
"You look beautiful." He whispered.
"Thank you." I responded.
"To bad I can't see you in that dress for much longer."
"Edward." I scolded playfully and gently nudged his chest.
"Isabella Swan." I walked quickly across the stage, received my diploma, and sat down. Edward followed and I relaxed a bit more in my seat having him close.
A few words were given by the valedictorian and then everyone exited.
"A record the whole thing to send to Carlisle Edward."
"He'll be pleased, thank you."
"No problem, let's go get a celebratory dinner."
Renee huddled us into her car.
"It's finally over." I sighed to Edward.
"I'll miss it."
"Not like it's your first."
Edward kissed me lightly and I smiled. I loved having him near and this close to my body.
Renee stopped at the restaurant and we got out.
I thought about how far me and Edward and even Renee had come in these past few months. it was done now. over. I was no longer and child and now I was a fully functioning adult in society. the unfortunate thing was, I was still human. I wanted to be with Edward, but I wouldn't bug him about it. I would just mention it while he was getting what he wanted tonight, if he would even be listening.
I looked over at Renee and pecked her cheek. my goodbye kiss.
