Part 18: Back to School

Aliyah's POV

Naglalakad na ako ngayon sa hallway papunta sa classroom namin. Second sem! Mas babawi ako ngayon.

"Alam niyo ba, girlfriend na ni Dark King si Aliyah?"

"So, totoo nga daw? Mas maganda pa ako kay Aliyah eh."

"Di sila bagay, mas bagay kami."

Eto nanaman tayo, gossips everywhere. How did they know na boyfriend ko na si Jem? Mga chismosa nga naman. Pero FYI, fiance na pala. Yiiey!

Pagpasok ko sa History room, agad na akong pumunta sa upuan ko.

And who's this boy? Transferee? Ang tahimik niya, katabi ko siya pero never pa siyang nag-salita.

Tapos na rin ang History Class namin. Jusko! First day ng second sem may project na agad. Kailangan nga ng partner eh, next week na ipa-pass.

"Miss Aliyah? Can I ask you something?" Sabi niya.

Ngumiti naman ako, "Yeah, sure."

"Do we have the same schedule?" Tanong niya. Binigay niya sakin ang schedule copy niya at yes parehas nga kami.

"Yup, same tayo." Sabi ko. Medyo napangiwi naman siya, is he okay?

"It's our vacant because the student council has a meeting. So, if you mind helping me in our project in history? I'm just a transferee from states." Sabi niya.
Tumpak! Englishero to men.

"Oh sure, I can help you. By the way, what's your name?" Tanong ko. English to, chong. Hahaha.

"I'm Stever." Sabi niya at nag-shake hands kami. "We can be partners." Alok niya.

"Sure."

So, pumunta kami sa english room. Doon dapat ang next class namin kaso vacant kaya walang tao. Doon nalang kami gagawa ng assignment.

"Uh, you can just translate it." Nahihiya niyang sabi.

"So, we are going to make an essay about the filipino history then we're going to present it. The question is, what do you want to present?" Tanong ko. Konti nalang, dudugo na ang ilong ko. Promise. Hahaha. (¤·¤)

"Uhm, about the bayani's. I only know Jose Rizal." Natatawa niyang sabi.

"Well, do you know Heneral Luna?" Tanong ko.

"I already heard about him. It has a movie, right? I think I like to present the life of General Luna." Sabi niya.

Yeheyy! Kilalang-kilala ko si Heneral Luna. ♡ tatak lunatico to. Hahaha.

"So, I'm going to introduce him." Sabi ko. Ir-ready ko na lahat ng alam ko.

"Okay, I'm going to listen. Go ahead." Sabi niya at umupo ng maayos.

"So, he is General Antonio Luna De San Pedro y Novicio-Ancheta aka Heneral Luna. He's one of the foremost Filipino soldiers base on my research. He was born in Urbiztondo, Manila on October 29, 1869. His father is Joaquin Luna de San Pedro and her mother is Laureana Novicio. His brother is the famous painter of 'The Death of Cleopatra', 'The Blood Compact', 'The Spolarium' and many more which is Juan Luna. He studied at Ateneo Municipal  de Manila, here he finished the Bachelor of Arts degree with honors. He studied pharmacy in Sto. Tomas University. He went to Barcelona, Spain, where he finished pharmacy. In the Central University of Madrid, he obtained the degree of doctor of medicine. I know, he also studied in Belgium and France. He was also a good writer. The 'La Solidaridad' formed in spain by Rizal, Marcelo H. Del Pilar, was the magazine where he published his great works under the nom de plume 'Taga-Ilog'. I think in 1897 or 1898? He was deported to Spaim for he was suspected to have some knowledge about the revolutionists. He was imprisoned in Carcel Modelo de Madrid. Not sure for the name. Hahaha. When he was released he studied military tatics, he studied very well.
He returned to the Philippines. When the Philippine-American was broke out. Heneral Luna was made general of Aguinaldo's army. June 2, 1899, he recieved a letter signed by President Aguinaldo ordering him to proceed to Cabanatuan. He immediately went to Cabanatuan on June 5, but the President was not there. The President went to San Isidro.  All of a sudden, he heard gunshots. When he went downstairs to find out what is happening, the general was shot by a sergeant who was one of those he unarmed in Kawit, Cavite.

"Wow. It was just a wow. I like the story. So, when we're gonna watch it?" Sabi niya. Mukha ngang nagustuhan niya! Kyaaah~

"Uhm, today?" Suhestyon niya.

Hala, di pwede. Magkikita kami ni Jem ngayon eh. 2 days na kasi kaming di nagkikita.

"Uh, not today...because I have a date with my boyfriend." Nahihiya kong sabi. Baka isipin niya mas inuuna ko ang lovelife kesa sa pag-aaral.

"Ohh, I see. I understand. Maybe, we can watch the movies next time when your free." Sabi niya habang nakangiti.

"We can work easily hahaha. We still have one week remaining for the deadline." Explain ko. Nakakaramdam na ako ng init sa ilong ko. Hahaha joke.

Teka, kung gagawa kami ng project at manonood ng Hen Lu, saan naman? Eh baka kapag sa kanila, magalit si Jem. Baka din kung samin, magagalit din si Jem. Hays, kailangan ko talaga siyang maka-usap.

"Stever, location??" Tanong ko.

Napaisip pa siya eh, halata. Yung daliri niya kasi nasa baba niya. Hahaha. "I don't really know. Well, if it's okay to your boyfriend we'll make our project in our house." Sabi niya.

"Uh yeah, I'll talk to him later."
Sabi ko.

Saan kaya kami gagawa ng project? Alam kong madaling magalit tong si Jem eh. Ays, bahala na.
