Requested. Please do not leave your request twice, I am going to get around to all of them. Do not request any more, it will not get done if you do, my apologies. Also-the names in front of their messages are just so you're able to tell who's talking, they don't actually know each other's names at first.
New message.
Roman: Hello?
Virgil: ? who's this?
Roman: It's me, Roman! You gave me your number, remember?
Virgil: i don't know any roman's. you've got the wrong number
Roman: Oh. Well, who are you then?
Virgil: you know when people realize they have the wrong number that's usually when they stop texting that person right?
Roman: I know, but seeing as I don't have my actual friends number I need someone to talk to. So why not?
Roman: You still there?
Virgil: yeah. still don't understand why you'd wanna talk to me, but fine. like you said, why not
Roman: Great! So, am I allowed to know who it is exactly I'm talking to?
Virgil: it's... virgil. call me verge.
Roman: Virgil is a nice name, albeit a little strange. I hope to get to know you better, Verge.

It had been months since then. After that the two talked often, and knew a lot more about each other. Roman had, of course, sent Virgil many pictures. He said it was because he didn't want him to forget what he looked like, as they only ever texted, but Virgil always teased him about it being because of his huge ego. Roman hadn't seen any pictures of the other though, and he had only asked about it once.
When he brought it up Virgil seemed off. More nervous than usual, and he took a long time to answer his text. He finally explained that he was too scared to share, and Roman certainly didn't want to push him to do anything he didn't want to. He just had to trust that he wasn't secretly a wanted criminal who couldn't share his face without being caught.
They had learned that they didn't live very far apart from each other, and that they were both the same age. The more they talked the more they learned, and the more Roman realized how he had developed feelings for Virgil. He just loved everything about him. The way he talked, the jokes he told, the things that made him happy. Roman could talk with him all day, listening to him talk about what made him happy.
He had decided, after a while, that he wanted to tell him about how he felt. He didn't know how it would go, it could be a disaster for all he knew, but if there was any chance Virgil may return his feelings Roman wanted to take that chance. He loved him, and he wanted Virgil to know that.
Just as he was thinking about him Roman received a text, looking down at his phone and smiling.
Virgil: hey. whatcha up to?
Roman: Greetings. Just thinking about you! ;)
Virgil: haha yeah, for real though
